Wedding Dance

"No need to be like that! I've been in plenty of meaningful relationships!" he said with a giggle, "Sort of." he corrected himself, his mind going back to Millie. His face saddened with unbearable misery for a moment, but it was gone the next second. Neil didn't like to think about that sort of thing. "Or one, anyway. I'd rather not...ah...repeat the experience." he muttered with a quiet sort of sadness, crossing his arms with a shielded expression crossing his face. "Nearly ruined me..." Glancing up and seeing a questioning look in Rorek's eyes he shrugged, "She died."

"Anyway..." he segwayed awkwardly, "You might never find the right woman, you know. Nobody's going to be perfect. Might as well have fun now, while you're ali--" he stopped because something odd had caught his attention directly to his right. His mouth opened as he found himself staring at his three children. All three looked greatly confused. "What the fu--" Neil began, stopped himself, "Uh..." he tried again, "Wait a second. I"ll be right back." he told Rorek, an angry frown crossing his face now. He strode up to the children purposefully.

"Hello, chickens. What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice less than pleased.

While Neil was scolding his children, Lady Knight wandered away from the man she'd been talking to and wandered over to Rorek. She opened her mouth to speak, and remembered that the other man wouldn't hear her. With an annoyed silent snort, she picked up a small stick from the ground and stood very near Rorek, holding the stick between them. "Sam is not pleased you left like that. It wasn't very gallant." the woman said, and this time he could hear. The voice sounded more like the whistle that went through the trees when there was storms, or like the rustle of leaves in the wind. "I'm afraid I quite agree." But there was a hint of amusement in her voice.

Janine was the first to come to her senses, and she let go of her sisters hair quickly, "I don't know what happened! It wasn't me, honest!" she said in a rushed voice. The girl was dressed in her pijamas, and looked quite confused, "Where are we?" she demanded, her eyes widening as she looked around. Yuli's lip was quivering, "I didn't do anything! Janine was being mean and then we were here!"

Which brought all their gazes to Rorr. Rorr was grinning up at his father sheepishly, holding a blue ring in one hand, and holding Yuli's nightgown with his other. "I founded this, dad." he told the mage, holding up the blue ring. "You left it on the table."

Neil groaned. Of /course/. The transportation ring he'd been working on! That thing was /one use only/! "Well I'll have to take you back." he told them, but all three immediately protested as they looked around at the odd people.

Neil sighed, "...Behave. And stay close to me." he told them, picking Rorr up and putting him on his shoulders, and holding both of the girls hands. Slowly he made his way to Rorek, looking like some odd fourheaded monster for a moment.

Rorek nodded as Neil talked about something that obviously brought up some painful memories, though he expected that were some good ones, which only made the pain greater. He stood still as he listened to his friend, who was cut off when he noticed three children, all who had the same dark skin as some one he knew, and he was not doubting in the slightest that they were his.

As he watched him walk off to see to the children Rorek's gaze went back to Korrex Who was conversing with the king and queen. He wasn't too worried, but he still had to be cautious. He noticed Lady knight had come over to him, he watched her confused as she picked up a stick, what was she?

His question was answered when she used the noise of the stick disrupting the wind to speak. ROrek winced as he felt a pang of guilt, he did feel bad for suddenly leaving. he bowed his head apologetically "Please tell Samantha that i am dreadfully sorry. Iwas in such a hurry to get to Korrex, he gets into a lot more trouble than you can imagine. Please have her come over. I feel awful for just leaving."

Rorek looked around for Samantha before looking towards Korrex, then to Neil who had come carrying the children. Rorek put on a smile after looking back once more to Lady knight. "My it seems as though we have an infestation. and who are the little ones?"

"Look papa! She has wings!" Janine squealed, about to run off. She was pulled back by the collar as Neil grabbed her and smiled at Rorek. "This is Janine." he said, and Janine turned towards the man curiously. Yuli was hiding behind her father, so Neil had to half turn so she was more visible, "This is Yuli." and then he jumped, causing Rorr to laugh and cluch at Neil's face, "And this is Rorr." Neil said in a muffled voice. The boy had grabbed at his fathers cheeks to hang on. "Guess who I named him after!" he said with a chuckle.

The weathermage turned and nodded at Lady Knight, who he had been ignoring up to that point. "Good to see you, Lady? Where's Sam?" he asked her politely. The woman smiled without much humor and brought the stick up to her lips, "She's coming." the breathy voice whispered.

"I look forward to it!" Neil said, unaware that Rorek knew Sam. In his distraction, Janine had managed to pull loose, and grabbed Yuli's hand, "C'mooon!" she whispered. Yuli, though reluctant, followed. They hadn't gotten far when Neil's voice followed them, "Stay out of trouble. And take Rorr with you."

Janine groaned, "Papa, Rorr is too little!" The boy was climbing down Neil as if he were a tree, and grinned at Janine. "Your face is too little!" he chirrupted, and ran off with his sisters following him, and rapidly gaining.

Neil chuckled, "That comment will cost him."

"Cost who?" Sam asked, turning up, and half glancing at Rorek, feigning disinterest. Neil beamed at Sam, and gave her a bear hug, which she returned eagerly, laughing. When they let go, Neil turned to Rorek, "Rorek, have you met Sam?"

Sam interrupted, "We've met." she said in a half annoyed voice, staring sardonically at Rorek.

Rorek smiled as he watched the children act as children do, getting excited, trying to run and explore everything. When Neil finally introduced Rorr Rorek's smile grew as Neil said the childs name. He had named one of his kids after him. What a sentiment that was. He was touched. "Thank you Neil, that really means alot." He waved to little Rorr who had run off with his sisters. After watching them run off Rorek's attention was brought to Lady Knight, her tone was not reassuring.

As he watched Sam walk up to them, greeting Neil and returning his hug, Rorek got a strange feeling, almost an angry feeling. or was it jealousy. A girl he thought he knew first, had the possibility to be one of the many Neil had bedded. But Rorek tried not to think about it as Neil tried to introduce him to Sam. He really didn't liek the tone in her voice.

"Yes we met earlier. I am sorry for my abrupt exit, but i had to make sure Korrex was keeping out of trouble. Even though we both know Victor, and he knows Korrex, Korrex has a knack of getting in a lot of trouble."

Victor raised an eyebrow as he noticed the two feet begining to form in snow. He grew a sly smile his dark eyes curiously watching the feet start to grow up. But King Victor had already known the pair of feet as it had begun. He steped foward, leaving his queen diagonal from him as he heard a voice reach them.

"Ah, Korrex. Thank you for coming."

His voice was happier, his old friend Korrex was here. He didn't touch the snow body, he was sure that with one poke his friends state would be demolished. He gave a sly grin, looking over his friend Korrex to catch a gimpse of his other friend Rorek meetnig somebody. He gave a sly smile, as of course Korrek would bring up such the subject, he glanced back at Kassidy his eyes wicked cold, giving her a look to her blush, grinning slyly back to Rorek.

"I doubt Kassidy would alow such a talk about us. But how have you two been doing?- have you found yourself a woman yet? Curious, you know how Rorek is..."

He spoke slyly as if they had done something which he couldn't speak about at an event, but just that tiny look his features gave away the obvious. But still, he was curious how those two were giong along. Especially Rorek who had quite a little...prude problem.

Sam's face broke into a wide smile, "It's okay. I wasn't really mad."
Liar. Her other self taunted. Sam was glad nobody could hear the woman speak. Neil, though, could read her lips. He didn't say anything, and glance back and forth between the two with apparent surprise at both their expressions.

"Well, you have saved my a.ss more than a few times." he said to Rorek cheerfully. Sam shook her head, "Neil, why does the conversation always have to turn to butts when I'm around you?" she asked reproachfully, a hint of a smile on her face.

Neil grinned, "It must be subconcious. Whenever I'm around you, and I know I can't have yours I simply pine."

"I'm sure you do, you pervert." Sam said cheerfully. She'd been sulking with her other self for awhile, but her spirits were thoroughly lifted. "Didn't you know I've got iron underwear? You can't pry them off."

Neil faked a gasp, "I'm shocked! You're speaking about undergarments! How unlike you!"

Sam turned towards Rorek with a chuckle, "He's a bad influence on me."

Neil shook his head, "Nonsense. I've gotten her to loosen up. You should have seen her before she met me!" He snorted. "She had this three meter rule with men, so that if you got too near her she'd start going on about rape."

Sam blushed a little, "I just don't like having my personal space invaded." she told him shortly.

Neil had been about to say something when Neil rushed by, giggling loudly. He'd been about ot ask what was going on, but he soon saw what it was. Sam's other self had turned herself into a child, and was participating in a game of tag.

Sam whirled around, "Self! That's not very mature!" she said in an embarassed voice. Rorr ran up to them and repeated what Sam said in a silly immiation of her. Yulia grabbed his hand, "Rorr, don't! We have to get Janine before she gets in trouble!" she said, and they were off again.

Oh so Neil never did get Sam? oh what interesting news, Rorek felt himself warm up, which of course meant the air around him cooled down a little. He smiled as he watched the two exchange remarks, Neil? A bad influence? you got that right. Rorek smiled as he looked to Neil, "So even the mighty sex god Neil has his limits on who he is able to bed? And specifically remember a conversation where you said that no matter who, you could shag any girl you wanted." and that was a good thing, Sam looked even brighter already.

He raised an eyebrow as Neil mentioned her 3 meter rule. "You really used to be like that? I can't imagine what you would've done a bit ago when Korrex got so close."

Rorek could only supress a laugh as little Rorr imitated Sam scolding her other self.

Korrex peered around Victor's shoulder and gave Kassidy a goofy little wave and a wink before standing up in front of victor who asked him if he found a woman. He sighed as he waved that thought away, of course he couldn't get a girl, not with Rorek staying up on that mountain being a prude.

"Nah no girl yet, you know Rorek, keeping me busy, i mean at least it wasn't a total waste, we got the castle finish about 6 months ago, and we are busy hooking it up to make it functional, even started on the village. Rorek was going to invite you to come up, Your queeny can come too."

Korrex turned to look at Rorek who was talking to Neil and sam again. he turned back to victor.

"but you know i dont care i'm getting me a girl. I think i'll shoot for one of these fairies." He said looking around. "Those wings just drive me crazy." He shouted shaking his head.

"I think i'll pull the ol' oh woe is me i dont have a body of my own. im sure to get a line of 'em. You know i bet i can even get someone for Rorek, it is time to break him out of his shell. i mean look at him. how can he be happy? i am in his head, he ain't happy, he needs to get laid and it is dragging me down!"

Neil shrugged, "I probably could. But I choose not to!" he told him cheerfully. Sam rolled her eyes at him, "That does sound like something you'd say, you pompous prick." she growled.

"Don't gang up on me now! I only state the truth!" He said, raising his hands in his defence. Sam punched his arm lightly, "Oh shut up." she muttered, and grinned at Rorek.

"Let's just say your brother is very lucky he didn't touch me." Sam smiled a secret smile, as she glanced at Lady Knight who was grinning like a carnivore. "I only look harmless."

Neil nodded, "Truth! I broke a few bones the first time I met you!"

"Do you have to remind me of that every time we talk?" Sam snapped at him. Neil shrugged, "Of course! They still ache during winter, you see. Or...whenever I'm around Rorek." he added with a short laugh.

Sam glared at him, and then let her anger go. "Oh who cares." she muttered, turning her head to hear something one of her spies was sending to her.

Neil was quite used to Sam's odd silences, so he turned to Rorek. "Really though, what've you been doing? I havn't seen you in /ages/." How long had it been? A year or two?

Sam spoke after Rorek had finished, "The Dutchess of Burgendy is cheating on her husband, apparently." She said idly.

Neil tried to hide the sudden sneaky grin that had come across his face with a large hand, but Sam caught it. "Oh Neil, you ba.stard."

Neil shrugged unapollogetically, "I didn't do anything. It was /all/ her. I don't /like/ to break up marriages if I can help it."

Sam turned to Rorek, "Back me up on this one. He's a b.astard for doing that." She looked back at Neil, "And it's not even like it's the first time. You do it all the time."

Rorek laughed as Neil complained about aching bones. Well he probably deserved what happened to him. "oh i'm sorry Neil, does my presence make it hard on you?" Rorek said as messed with the air around Neil dropping and raising the pressure with the cold, absouletly driving the mans aching bones crazy.

THen Neil asked him what he had been up to these couple of years since they last met. "Well i moved here to settle down. I Saw the mountain ranges and immediatley knew what i wanted to do. I went to everyone with a position of power for permission to set up my claim on the mountains. I have been working on my home for this whole time. I only finished the castle completely about 6 months ago. You really should see it, it is a work of art, carefully planned and layed out. it is even out fitted with all the neccesities and luxuries to make it livable. You Really should come see, you too Samantha. And Neil if you ever do anything in my castle, please remove and furs from the beds."

Rorek looked over to Sam as she stated something about a dutchess cheating on her husband. Rorek's gaze immediately went for Neil. And so did Sam's. Neil tried to defend himself, and Sam even asked for his help on this one. He shook his head at Neil. "Neil. Royal affairs? You should know better than that. I never knew you to be so foolish. If anyone finds out. " He really didn't want Neil to get in trouble. he was probably in enough as it is.

Neil countered the cold with a bubble of heat around him. "I'll be sure to come. It sounds like an awesome place. And I'll try not to melt anything." he added.

When they both started scolding them he looked at them disapprovingly, "What'll they do? Hire a hit man? I've allready got about seven after me, and none of them'll be able to find me. And if they do, I'll just off them." he said resentfully, "Most people know better than to mess with me. Besides, royalty are just people too..."

Sam shook her head, but apparently not him. "Oh, the Duke has just found out. Way to go. He doesn't know it's you, though." she said, c.ocking her head at the information and then straightening it.

Neil shrugged, "You can yell at me all you want, but I'm not going to change. I don't give a rats a.ss if he finds out it's me. Jeez, I'll go tell him myself, if it'll save him the trouble." He started off, but Sam grabbed his arm. "Don't. Really. Don't."

Neil paused, glaring down at her with his shockingly blue eyes. "Why not?" he asked nastily.

Sam turned to Rorek for help, "Tell him! Go on, tell him he's being an idiot!" she hissed, her grip did not loosen.

Nali disregarded his reply completely. She was fully enveloped in her own selfishness and well-being. Shane had no right to be here. Shane had no right to be anywhere she was, to be close to her as he was now. He didn’t deserve to see her again, and she couldn’t afford the pain. And yet, seeing him now, he was completely calm and tranquil and at ease with the situation. It made her feel childish and as though she couldn’t control herself, which was partially true.

Theo took a stride forward, positioning himself just slightly in front of Nali, in between her and the vampire. His lip was curled and he brushed his hair from his eyes, as if he needed to get a good look at Shane to asses the threat he possessed. His strong arms crossed in front of his chest, and he made no motion of greeting as he addressed himself.

“Theo. Princess’s boyfriend. Soon to be husband, but she wouldn’t admit that.”

Nali fumed silently at his arrogant remarks. She was thin and dainty in comparison, standing in his shadow. She flexed her pale fingers and gnashed her teeth together. It was true, he had proposed several times. But she had turned him down, playfully for most of them. It wasn’t the right time. But it never was the right time. Would it ever be? She seemed to recall a certain period in her life with a boy who she would marry in a heartbeat. That was, if her conditions were met. Which they weren’t. So she was left broken hearted, as was he.

Was it so much to ask? If he did truly love her, he would want to be with her forever, right? He would do whatever it took to have her to himself and love her for all eternity? Theo was there and real and ready to defend her with his life. That was what he could offer her, and it was enough. But, Shane? Shane couldn’t do the one thing she wanted from him. One thing. Because…he didn’t love her enough. That was the conclusion she had come to, those long nights crying by herself under the stars. She would sit on the grass with her head in her hands and sob, and Theo would come out every night and sit with her. He was devoted. Her vampire, was not.

Her wings pressed against her back in tension, and her eyes flittered around the crowd as she awaited Shane’s next remark. Her mind numbly echoed something he had said about a pixie, and she spotted one out of the corner of her eye. Right near…whatsisname? The one, yeah, Taylor’s boyfriend. Izarus, or something. She almost felt the twinge of a sarcastic smile on her lips, seeing as they were both there. The two who had fallen in love with vampires, and then were left to face the messy consequences. She wondered how he was doing--probably in a state such as herself, struggling with love, emotions…

And then she noticed the fairness of his eyes, the cold marble of his skin, and the etiquette of his posture.

Victor gave an sympathetic but amused look, poor Korrex. The man would never get any if Rorek was always holding him back. Lucky enough the man got out of the body a few times- such as now. He nodded about the ice castle, giving an interested smile,

"I'd love to- wouldn't you, dear?"

He turned his head giving his wife a look of curiosity, his eyebrow quirking up before he turned back to Korrex disguarding her. He gave a slight laugh at Korrex. Good for him! He'd get a woman without disruptions from his twin. Infact... Victor looked away a little bit, his eyes being caught by a little lovely sight. It was that dark and light fairy. The one that had congradulated Kassidy and him before. He nodded to the girl, letting Korrex take a look before acting. He rose his hand nodding to the girl once his hand waving her over,

"Little fairy, yes you, come here for a momment."

He beconded her to come over, his mouth sly.


Ashlee had drifted her way to the courner of the party, alone. She watched some of the fairys danced, just wondering if she would ever be able to do that. She was caught off guard, feeling eyes on her. She looked over, her eyes almost wide to see that the Fairy King was calling her over. She hesitated, feeling slightly emmbaressed for the minor spotlight. She walked on light feet, carrying her slim body over to the men. She noticed another man. A...snow man? She glanced at him, looking up at the King who was smirking down at her.

Victor gave a wide smile, gently wrapping his arm around the young fairy's shoulders, pulling her to his side as if they had been life long friends. He looked down at her, his voice dark but curious,

"I didn't quite catch your name before, Miss."

His evil eyes twinkled with a fake kindness.


Ashlee daren't move from her position, feeling that the King might get offended. So she let herself be close to him, as she looked to the snow man, then Victor.

"Ashlee, sir."

Victor gave a victorious smile, his expressions brilliant. He looked to Korrex giving him a look that said, 'how bout this little gal?'. He smirked lightly giving a small introduction,

"Ah, Ashlee. Here, I want you to meet a good friend of mine- Korrek."

His eyes flickered to his friend as the young fairy let her eyes glance to the man. She gave a small smile, emmbaressed again over the spotlight- even if it was just two men. This snow man, Korrex, seemed about the same age as the king. He seemed like an exact block of snow, but an artist carved out a perfect sculpture with every last detail. She glanced back at the ground her face hot,

"Hello."
