Night Shift

["Parker!"]

Mhm. Something was wrong with this picture. Why had Daniel given him the body. What about romance? What the hell!?! He was so lost!! He blinked as he gave a slight, hesitant laugh when she asked if Daniel had gone back for a nap. He shrugged lightly feeling slight akward. He...was surrouned..by PERVERTS. AND SHE CALLED HIM THE PEDDY!! >___<!! The man sat as he watched her go and get deserts.

"Woah."

'Woah.'

The two men whispered at once as soon as she was out of hearing. David whispered aloud as Daniel whispered mentally. David..acually mezmorized by some boody?!! Woah! Take a picture!! The docter realized it and blinked reganing a small, weakened smile as she came back. He watched her eat... he looked away feeling if he looked anymore he might drop his jaw. Wha... he was so confused... Didn't she want..him...to not look? Or...look? Ehh.. He spoke up as she said to go on,

"Um, how's your hand?"

Yeah, thats right--think medical.

<sub>Jaylen watched him avert his eyes. oh, maybe he didn't like watching people eat. She better eat it faster then. She Put more of the ice cream in her mouth, lips coming down as she swallowed a big glob of chocovanilla ice cream, licking her lips clean after each bite. She was quickly down to the cone, tongue going inside to dig out the ice cream. She nibble aroud the outside of the cone, eating it away. It was gone in a minute flat. She really wasn't kidding about what she could fit into her mouth and how much she ate. She picke dup her fork, digigng into the cheesecake first and then mixing the cheesecake, cherries, and chocolate cake into a single bite. OH MY GOD! THAT WAS SO GOOD! He asked about her hand and she looked abck at him, smiling. She swallowed fast.

"Oh, it's fine! The feeling is coming back and it's a bit sore now, but I think I'll live, dont you? Here, try this..."

She stabbed more chocolate and cherry cheesecake onto her fork and held it out to him, chest leaning forward across the table.

"It's really good, I swear..."

She smiled at him invitingly. Well, inviting him to eat off her fork not... inviting him to bed or anythig. But he didn't think like that anyway! She'd be fine! She could flirt with him if she wanted to be right now she was just being herself. Well, the nicer her that comes out after she blows someone into a wall...</sub>

["Parker!"]

David nodded brightly as she said she could deal with it. The numbness should be wearing off now. It was healing just fine! Ah. He felt much better now-- without the urge of his man needs and whanot. Most of that came from Daniel already... so maybe thats why he didn't worry about it. Hmm. He blinked as she leaned over the table. He smiled lightly hesitaint but leaning over taking the fork and biting into the cheesecake. He unknowingly smiled slyly giving a nod.

"Mhmm, you're right-- thats good stuff. Gotta gemme a peice of that..."

That acually did taste...fantastic. And usually he hated desert. He hesitated and smiled to her with a slight curious look to what her next move might be. Cheesecake...and girls...and... wow...what a good combination. Wait--no...resist!!!

<sub>Jaylen smiled at him. There was a small sly look in his eyes and she felt heat ripple across her face. not outstanding firepowered heat, just a light blush. She didn't even know why. Now everything felt like it was going to be sort of awkward. Oh what could she do? She really DID ruin the moment. Yeah they had both been pervs, but they were having fun. David was sweet. First time material. Hmmm... That was a good way to think about it. OH MY GOD! NO! DONT THINK ABOUT IT LIKE THAT! She wasn't syaing she was GOING to sleep with him! She'd never slept with anyone before! Why should now be any differnt?!?! BECAUSE THIS ONE ACTUALLY WANTS HER AND ISN'T AFRAID OF GETTIN HIS A.SS BLASTED!! Calm down jaylen!

"I can go get you some if you want. Here, I'll be right back."

She grinned, hopping out of her seat and skipping off, hips swaying in their usual lusting way as she bent over the buffet to reach a peice of cheesecake waaaay in the back. HOT F.UCKIN D.AMN!!! That could make a gay man stop and stare! Of course, again she didn't realize what she was doing and what effect it might have on the opposite... well... everyone. She straightened, smiling and taking back the two slices of dessert, placing them lightly in front of him and sitting down again, eyes shimmering with accomplishment. Okay so she'd only gotten him dessert, it was nothing big at ALL but she felt like she'd done something nice. Maybe she could be a little perverted with him?

"It is good. The way it feels in you're mouth, the way it tastes, it's wonderful."

All she needed was a certain emphasis on the right words and there, she was being perverted. it just took the right kind of mind to understand it. Read between the lines.</sub>

David gave a friendly like smile as she said she'd go get him a slice. Sweet, she was nice! He looked back down at himself for a the momment when he looked up to see her walking away and leaning away from him with... ahhh.... He raised a brow at the sight of that. Well then... He gave a small cough and looked away politely. Some people were staring at her and some were staring at him. He could read their faces they were like "What the hell is a lady like her doing with a guy like that?" The doctor looked back to see her walking over with two beauties of delight. Okay that was a bit wrong, he grimanced inwardly but his face became blank as he almost dropped his fork at what she was saying.

'Uh...uh....Daniel....'

David looked at the woman oddly almost in shock. Why was she saying this to him? He held his stare akwardly wondering if she still knew it was him and not his brother.

'Woahhh! If this is her kind of romance, count me in!!!'

David's face grew hot, but not really noticeable he took a little bit of the slice and took a bite giving a small, trying smile.

"Er...yeah... I know how.. uh.. you feel."

He mummbled as he glanced away. Noo!! He had no idea how she felt-- and ackckk! Images flooded his head--no!! Aggh!! Get him OUTTA HERE!!! He wasn't a pervert!! No nono!!! He grimanced lightly as he heard his brother laughing hysterically.

<sub>Jaylen watched him. Oh my God. Was he… Was he BLUSHING?!?! She could see the pink tinge running over his face. She had made him blush! She tried to keep a straight face. This was HILARIOUS!! She stared at him blankly a moment, still shocked that he’d understood her. For some reason he expected him to be like a little child and not understand the underlying meaning of her words. So he got her drift. Heh heh heh. She smiled at him.

”I’m sorry. I’m making you uncomfortable huh? I just think it’s so cute when you get flustered. You turn kinda pink and try so hard to be innocent. Heh heh. My bad. I’ll stop. I hope. I’ll try anyway… I don’t think I’ve gone a day of my life where I didn’t say something dirty. But for you? I’ll try and darndest!”

She grinned, winking and putting the fork of cheesecake and chocolate back in her mouth. Well now she might as well be mute. Take an oath of silence. Like she said, she always said dirty things, even when she wasn’t paying attention to how amazingly bad they were. But now she would try hard not to say the things he mind randomly tossed out at her. Well what was a soft topic to talk about that couldn’t be taken as dirty? She thought a moment. She wanted to know more about him. What should she ask?

”So David… Do you read? Like… books?”

Might as well start somewhere…</sub>

Obviously Daniel agree'd with Jaylen. David sighed silently and grimanced to himself. He...was not flustered! Okay...maybe alittle. But he was professional. He stuck his fork into his cheesecake and shrugged smally at her trying hard not to roll his eyes. He glanced back upto her scilent as she was looking at him ready to go on about a hopefully more appropriate subject. He smiled brightly then as she announced books. With a friendly nod he replied,

"Of course! I mean, I am a doctor, I have to study up on my material."

He smiled with an involentary cute smile. He was just the cutest little innocent thing. A very friendly 'hard to upset' guy. But she knew that there was always his weakness....that...weakness. He took a merry bight of his cheesecake and then spoke again,

"Speaking of profession, what do you do for a living?"

After he spoke he hesitated holding his breath. Well... maybe he didn't want to know the answer to that one.

((XD I never really decided what i wanted her profession to be ^_^ can she be a bar hopper? Just kidding. i think... she has two jobs. GoGo dancer or she gets hired for like the fourth of july and baseball games XD))

<sub>Jaylen grinned. Oh good. He read. She wondered idly what kind of things he read. Did he only read medical books? Didn't he read romance novels? Fiction? Horror? Comedy? Mystery? She would have asked and gone right into it. She could talk about books for quite a while, especially if they knew the same authors. You always had to ask about authors, or at leats if you've read the same books. Maybe next she should start talking about movies? She watched as he gave the most adorable smile. It made her own smile glitter as she broadened it, wanting to giggle and go 'AWWWW!!!' at him. She tilted her head, wondering what question she should ask next but then he moved in and tossed out a doozy of a question. Speaking of professions... WHEN HAD SHE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT PROFESSIONS?!?! Her eyes widened at him, her smile flickering away before coming back. She laughed a bit nervously.

"I...uhhh... well, lets go with this one. I have a few jobs, but since it's baseball season and all... You know the fireworks at the grand finale? I do those sometimes. If they feel like hiring me. I get about 500 bucks, not bad for just blowin off some steam."

She smirked, thinking she was very clever for dodging the job question. She didn't want to admit she was a gogo dancer. Go-go dancers, for those of you who have not watched the movie Planet Terror is NOT a stripper. A Go-go dancer wears skimpy clothes and things and dancers, sometimes on a pole. BUT THEY DO NOT STRIP!! But they do get money in their clothes... the little clothes the do wear... But of course after saying she would try not to be dirty she couldn't just say she was an exotic dancer. If go-go dancing was indeed exotic at all...</sub>

["Parker!"]

The doctor became interested in the fantastic cheesecake again, not noticeing her looks from him. He took a bite as she continued. He was releaved to know that she had a proper job--or atelast it was appropriate. He chewed nodding then swallowed. He wasn't much of a sports fan- sure, he'd watch the games and whatnot but he didn't have much of a favorite team.

"Oh really, thats nice. Heh, atelast you won't have to blow me up anymore. Eh, I bet I'm gona feel that tonight."

He didn't even notice what he said was naughty or could have been considered as dirty. He was in the body when she expoded her fireworks on him and he he bet when they left each other that he was going to start to feel it burn. Eh....great.

<sub>Jaylen let her rainbow filled eyes look back up to him. He nipped at his cheesecake and she smiled a little. He was so cute. Like a little kid trying to be so mature and grown up. Her smile grew, flashing a smile at him that said all her attention was on him right now. It grew and she blushed as he said she wouldn't have to blow him up. Actually, having the fireworks connect like that had been thrillingly enjoying for her. It was better than just poppin them off into the air. He was gonna feel that tonight. oh yeah, the whole bouncing off the walls thing. She giggled apologetically.

"Sorry about that again, but I couldn't resist and I've never actually blown anyone up before and well... I liked it. Thats probably bad huh? That I like blowing people into stuff and all... But it was so refreshing and it felt so good. I mean I spose I could go blow up other things, cars or stuff in a junk yard y'know but... I guess it was just something I have to do with someone. So I can see the expression on their face. Hey! Can you make some?"

Her eyes glittered, dancing along with her smile. She suddenly wanted to see him make some fireworks go off. He could use her power when he was around her right? Well, she wanted to see! She could do them herself anytime, but she was excited and thrilled to see someone else do it when she'd never seen any but her own and man-made fireworks. She leaned forward with interest, if she'd have had a tail it would be wagging with curious joy.

"I've never seen anyone else use my power before! I want to see you do it! Do it do it do it!!! Pleeeeeease?!?!?"

She brimmed with excitement.</sub>

"So inflicting pain on people makes you feel good about yourself, eh?"

He gave her a sly smile before pulling off a look that said 'just kidding'. She was an interesting one. She took her stress out with her power, exercising it everyday. He supposed he exercised his everyday with a new power. He blinked as she asked him if he could peform some of her power. He hesitated, then pulled out his wallet with a grin. He placed the bill on the table then stood up taking her hand, getting her up and leading her out like a gentleman. Of course he was just joking around--although it could always be misinterpreted.

"Yeah, yeah. Lets just make sure I don't blow up the whole building."

He laughed slightly walking into the almost empty parking lot. He let go of her arm and took a few steps away and looked at his hand.

"Eh..."

He had no clue what to...do.. He looked at her with a cute little grin with a shrug, unsure.

<sub>Jaylen grinned as he pulled out his wallet, paying for their meal. She looked back to the food, taking one last deep breath in appreciation of the food. She let him help her out of her chair, grinning at his cute gentlemanly ways. He was so adorable. Romance novels swirled to mind and in the one she’d read recently all of the men seemed to have a darkness to them. Women never really went for the good guy, y’know? They said they wanted the good guy but then they wanted to be protected, feel safe, they wanted adventure and PASSION!!! And passion was linked with anger and anger was dangerous so women were really attracted to danger weren’t they? She pondered on as he led her outside and into the parking lot. Her eyes wandered over to her corvette and she purred with delight. He stepped away and for a moment she watched, waiting. She remembered Daniel using it, just a little. He looked at her, shrugging and smiling. She laughed.

”So I have to teach you now? Okay, okay, here…”

She stepped up to him, taking his hands slowly and feeling a small rush of adrenaline, or maybe that was the blood going to her face as she blushed.

”Okay, now this worked for me in three ways. When I was really excited, slightly well when I was really embarrassed, and most strongly when I was reeeeally angry. Okay, so focus. Try and feel the energy building, let it sizzle in you, feel like every inch of you could be on fire with it. Try and recall a time when you were really angry, rage, feel it… Can you feel it?”

She was standing close to him now, looking up expectantly into his eyes, holding his hands. The moonlight and the florescent lights from the lamp nearby gave her a soft glow. He would probably get hot, like burning normal human skin hot, and she was checking for a change in temperature. What could she do to shock him into using it?</sub>

["Parker!"]

David watched her carefully, almost getting ready to try it out before she stepped foward speaking. Sweet, she was going to teach him. He hesitated as she stepped even closer her hands running over his, he could feel the warmth of her hands rush to his face. She was explaining how she usually got her sparks on by an emotion. Emotion.. Embarressment-- a key factor right now-- Excitement, and Anger. He hesitated watching her in the soft moonlight. She was very attractive. Yes he'd already admited that. But she wanted him to get angry...his face fell slightly. Angry. He tried. Nothing. He didn't really get angry. It was Daniel who had the hot temper. In the dark you could barely notice his red embarressed face. He thought about back at the hospital and smiled slightly, closeing his eyes thinking before you could hear something spark. The firework exploded into the air, it's vibrant colors reflecting its colors of the rainbow upon them. David looked up with a wide grin, looking at the falling colors,

"Interesting."

He mused slightly, catching her eye but immediatly looking away. Crap, crap, crap. He knew he wasn't good at this stuff..this...woman stuff... Although he couldn't resist to glance back wondering what she thought.

<sub>Jaylen looked up as small pops went off and little fireworks burst into life, the light from them fluttering down and disappearing around them. She felt a rush of excitement, the sudden light from it playing along her skin as if it belonged there all the time. She felt a giddyness flood her as she jumped, giggling and tossing her arms around his neck in a hug. She swung around him, making them dance in circles in her excitement.

"It's brilliant! Gorgeous! Wonderful! I've never seen anything like it before!!! They are... so... Unique!!! I can actually see the differences in yours and mine! They're like snowflakes! or fingerprints! It's amazing!!!"

She stopped twirling with him, arms around his neck, pressed against him, looking up at the stars where the firework had been and smiling. Her eyes shimmered delicately as if she'd really never seen a firework before and it was the most magnificent thing she could imagine. His had been so different from her own! How strange she could actually see the differences! It was as clear as Night and Day! Male and.... Female... She wondered if Daniel's would look different and her eyes lowered slightly so she was looking into his eyes, smile fading and lips pouting just slightly. A blush ran across her cheeks and small blue fireworks danced into life behind her at her own sudden shyness. She felt how close they were, bodies touching, her heat rising. Oh no. Her heat was going up. She wouldn't burn him, he was fire and heat proof around her, but he would feel it. She wondered silently if maybe she could try just once more... to fall in love...</sub>

["Parker!"]

He watched the colors dance upon their moon lit skin, his face beamed with happniess. This was great. He laughed as she twirled them around in excietment as he followed along. She flung her arms around him telling him how amazing it was to see a diffrent kind of fireworks. Her seemed alot more furious as his were more...elegant. He hadn't noticed that as her hands had flunt around his neck, he'd caught their ballence, his hands wrapped around her waist gently.

"Heh, thanks."

He smiled gently, looking down at her blinking once seeing and hearing the small crackle of firepower behind her. She... didn't seem angry...not too excited anymore. He eye'd her gently, his soft gentle gaze into her's. He felt a little tense too because of...the heat radiating off of her. Was it just him? Uh...he could feel his body temp. raising too-- he wasn't sure if it was him, or the heat from her. He held her gently. She was an interesting type of girl. She was firey, sarcastic, suductive, but acually sweet when you got to know her.

'Do it.'

'Comon- your chance.'

'D.AMNIT DAVID!'

David sighed looking at her softly. He had no clue what to do. Kiss her? Or not? He had the chance. But he didn't want to rush into anything. He smiled carefully, slightly laughing at the thick blush on her face. Ah crap.... what to do...

"It was great...tonight. I mean, I don't think I've had such an eventful night. Maybe...we should do it again?"

David smiled innocnently basically asking her out. Not as boyfriend and girlfriend...but...as friends...or just a tiny bit more as friends..? Uh...Eh. The boy had charm once in awhile, anyways he was naturally sweet. Daniel growled...but was slightly glad that he'd be able to see the beauty again.

[rawr. i know. kissing momment and i totally stomped on it and spit on it but i think this relationship needs to go sloooww. cause david's not that kinda guy...but daniel on the other hand.... xD]
