Self-Pity

Rane blinked as he instantly asked her if she could... show him? Well she wasn't expecting to perform any tricks be she'd gladly show off a little. She liked to gloat sometimes but that was just her sporty attitude. She hesitated her hair brushing in her face as she looked at him. He looked a little distant but still in the conversation.

"Oh, well, um, sure, okay! Well, I know I've heard your songs before so... okay here we go..."

Rane took a few quick steps infront of him as she took in a breath. Her mind was a large search engine finding his voice in a singing form her vocals changing to match his. She took a breath and closed her eyes,

And see everything, and never be satisfied
If I couldnt see those eyes"


Concentrateing her energy in making the voice perfect she exhaled softly and let her eyes flutter open. The words had come out in a perfect tone with the perfect pitch that he used in his singing. However her voice had not come out. It was his sweet voice that had come from her mouth. She wasn't much of the singer however she made great impressions. She had heard this song once and thought it was cute so natually she memmorized some of the words. Not hard for her, she had thousands memorized. She took a breath and laughed nervously hoping he wasn't too freaked out by it.

"Yeah, thats only part of it... but comon, enough about me what about you mr. famous?"

He stopped dead as she stepped out in front of him. Partly because he didn't want to hit her, and partly becuase, well, what came out of her mouth. Mimicry defined in his mind was like, however lame it might be, imitating birds or sounds, not people's voices. And hell, now he was basically listening to himself sing, only it wasn't the irritating background buzz of loudspeakers or a CD. He was looking at himself in a mirror, only the one looking back was a whole lot prettier. And has a great voice, He laughed silently to himself, biting on his lip to keep from saying aloud the arrogant phrase.

"That's...unlike anything I've ever seen," He grinned, his eyes shining. Heck, this girl could do wayy more than pull off sound effects at a concert. Why wasn't she out there showing this off? She could do a whole lot better than staying stuck in Lordight. With the right connections, she could be...famous. A shiver went down his spine and his temper flared suddenly. She had no issues, no reason to be bound to Lordight like he was. Rane's talent was wicked cool, and she'd waste it by living here instead of showing it to the world?

But then, of course, his anger spell broke when she asked once more about him. In an effort to advert the question, he side-stepped her and (much to his expert planning) grabbed her nice, soft hand. "C'mon, how about I show you where I live?" He grinned, and began to run up the path with her in tow.

[ No worries. His gift will be revealed to her soon. Just waiting for something to piss him off or make his instincts go crazy =) I think it'll make for quite a scene. It okay if we switch to his place? I'll start the thread. ]

kayyy! they're so cute. but i kinda want them to be just friends for awhile yaknow? not to rush things so we can keep rping them and stuff. =D
