The queens words stung him with great power. He felt like he was being attacked an he could do nothing. He could do nothing now. He had...ruined it. He had ruined everything. His body gently shook with an uncontrolable thought. He had ruined it. All along. Twelve years. Hurt.
Hurt Nali...? Bracelet? Theo? His eyes flashed with a confused hatred. He.. he... touched her? He... His mind wouldn't be able to configure it, but he understood that that was not good. He felt the urge to kill. Though he was useless now, only letting the queen's words kill his mind. Everything he had hoped would work out okay, was now thrown away. But he looked up at Kassidy gently. He was lost now. Everything he knew was gone. He loved Nali. He needed her. He looked up with dispair for a few momments before asking,
"What do I do?"
His eyes were swimming with a fear. What did he do now? Does he run away? He didn't know what to do, his existance was starting to crumble.

Kassidy's features softened slightly when she saw his expression of defeat. "Shane...you fight for what's yours. You fight for love, and for Nali, and for yourself." she said softly, "And you do it before it's too late." she stared at him, and the haze of pink faded away, leaving the Queen looking normal, less terrible. "Shane...you should have talked to me. I could have prevented all of this."
"I suppose it didn't ocurr to you that the Fae royalty are immortal once they're married?" Kassidy sighed, feelings chills crawl up her arms. "You'd better go...she's gone to him again. You can stop disaster from happening."

Shane looked up, his eyes still lost in dispair. Kassidy? Immortal? No kiddin, eh? He looked blank for a momment. Save Nali. Save himself. Save their love. His three goals for his life. An eternity. He looked up at Kassidy when she finished, his eyes had changed lighter again. He knew what he had do do.
"Thank you."
He whispered and in an immortal flash- he was gone.
[rawr! done with him!! zomg where to find nali!!!]

Kassidy watched him go quietly, and rubbed her temples. Time to go back to that godforsaken party. Quietly, she sat down and took a few deep breaths. If only somebody-- But no. She was saving her people. She lifted herself and once again cast the illusion of perfect health, because actually restoring herself back to health would take too much energy. She'd used a lot on Nali...
She reappeared back in the glade with a large smile. "Everything is fine. Let the festivities continue. The King and I shall prepare for the wedding dance backstage now." She said in a light voice, turning to smile at Victor. "Let's go, Victor." She said, and behind the happy mask she was wearing her mind was crying once again.

[...and now they're back. :3 Go read 'interlude for a costume change' if you want to know the exciting things that happened.]
The king and queen emerged into the hall, and the dancers moved out of their way, crowding the corners. They looked splendid, Victor looked dark and handsome, proud in his black suit, and Kassidy looked frail and beautiful in her nearly naked state. Light stripes decorated her, as they had so many years ago in a Magikus Gym class. Music floated out of the trees, and they made their way to the center of the dance floor. He dipped her, twirled her, and she responded beautifully, curving in all the right places...yet to those who were looking, she was more rigid than usual. Mechanical. Going through the motions. There was no real joy in the smile she wore... However, there weren't many looking, and while the Light Fairy's commented on The Queen's choice of clothing (she had some on? why wasn't she naked?), they had learned she was a rather private person when it came to her marriage, and that perhaps it carried out into the dancing scene.
The dance itself was a work of art. It was the perfect combination of pride, anger, beauty, and passion. Its sharp movements contrasted with the Queens soft flashes of light as she floated by, and it ended with a shower of sparks from all sides, and the King bent over the Queen almost possessively. There was a burst of cheering from the sides, clapping and hooting, singing praise for the new King and Queen of their kingdoms. They smiled at their subjects, bowed and curtsied, were bowed and curstied at back. A woman came forth with a purple flower.
The passion lily. The maiden was holding it gingerly, for it was poisonous, and if you didn't carry it the right way you could die. There was, again, an uneasy muttering around the Light Fairy's, but the Queen stared out at them defiantly, and plucked the blossom from the maidens hands with ease. It bloomed beautifully, and again there was cheering from the sidelines.
So it was official. King Victor and Queen Kassidy...were married. The passion lily floated to the top of the room and emitted an odd moody light.
"Please, all of you, dance with us for celebration!" she called out to them, and the fae, the guests and vampires all meandered back onto the dance floor. The first dance of the night was beginning, and the King and Queen began to make their way back to their thrones.
((Only to be stopped by the pixie who wants to dance? XD? ))

((XD if you insist my Queeeeeen XD >D!!!))
As people started dancing again and the king and queen began to walk back to their thrones there was a sharp feeling to the air. There was a moment where it seemed tense in the middle of the dance floor and suddenly the floor was alive with magic. Blindingly beautiful and bright flashes or purple and pink light bloomed from the floor and if you had been unlucky enough to look into it at the right moment you would be seeming a bar of white light in you're vision for the rest of the night. Many people held up their hands to shield themselves from the light and when they looked back there was a tall handsome man standing there. The darkness of his black suit made his purple hair glow by itself, without help from that almost always present sheen of light around him, the soft pink and purple tinged flare from him making him seem so alien and yet delicate and beautiful. His wings hummed a moment and then lay still on his back.
His magenta eyes were flicked with a deep sleepy violet that glittered in the light. His eyes were only on one person. The queen of the fairies. He smiled politely, every pair of eyes in the room on him. What did this Pixie think he was doing? How arrogant! How rude! How dangerous! Whispers might have been sweeping the room, but everyone stayed silent, hostility rising as he stood so peacefully, waiting to attract every small ounce of attention in the room. Then, he started to speak. His voice was smooth, almost hypnotizing. The power of his eyes focusing on the queen.
"May I have a dance with you're Majesty?"
He bowed, an elegant movement that he puleld off so well that a few people gasped. Or maybe that was because he'd just asked the Queen for a dance. A PIXIE!! Of all things! He tilted his head up, eyes glittering at her.
"If it's not too much to ask from a humble pixie..."
He smiled innocently enough but a flood of poisonous whispers shrouded the room as he watched Kassidy like she was the only thing in the world he wanted at the moment. The only thing that caught his interest. He didn't know that yet again she didn't remember him, but he already knew she didn't know who he was. She hadn't even asked his name before. She knew nothing of him anyway. He might as well ask for a simple dance...

A pixie? At her wedding? What was he doing here? Kassidy stared at the man in awe, and shock. "I--" she began, and her throat closed up. A dance? With her? What for? She glanced at the King nervously and then shrugged. Oh who cares...it was just a dance! And she didn't realy want to sit on the throne for the rest of the night anyway. "It is too much to ask, pixie. But I accept anyway." she said archly, raising her eyebrows while her eyes laughed. Another murmur of surprise around the room. She had accepted? Their newly married Queen had accepted!? To dance with a Pixie of all creatures?
Then again...she hadn't been one to follow traditions. First she'd married the Night Fairy...now she was dancing with a pixie. Well...it was just a dance. Kassidy gave Victor a glittering smile (oh how she loved to spite him with this dance), "It's just a dance, my king." she said, and turned towards Dax. She put one arm on his shoulder, and the other hand in his own (oddly, she felt a tiny shock of electricity as their hands touched). While she had previously been wearing light stripes across her body, she now whore a beautiful shimmery dress that fell about her in curtains, fluttering with a wind only she could feel. The music started up again, and Kassidy c.ocked her head a little, curious, "So...dance with me, then." she said lightly, challenging him with her eyes. Obviously he was a c.ocky one, ot think he could ask the queen to dance with him...let him prove why he was so proud, then.

The pixie smiled, slightly surprised and happy that she had agreed to dance with him. Stunned faces filled the tide of people and shocked whispers raced smoothly from ear to ear. He straightened, watching her like someone admires the moon as she turned to say something to Victor. It was just a dance. Dax smiled, a beautiful smile painting his face as he watched her come towards him slowly. Her bands of light changed to a delicate shimmering dress hat contrasted with the pitch of his suit but thrived in the warm nimbus of his light. His purple hair was violet fire against his pinkish skin, his magenta eyes dancing along her form as she finally met him. He smiled at her, a familiar smile as if he'd known her all along and now he had her and it made him happier than anything. It might have been odd or uncomfortable, since she didn't know him at all, but he didn't mind. His pink glow complimented her, making her skin look warm and soft in his glow. They seemed to compliment each other just standing together.
He took her hand gently and noted the small pleasing shock that tinged along his palm where he touched her. He took a short breath, letting it out slowly and trying to be calm. Her hand touched his shoulder and his rested on her hip, slightly caressing her thigh before being still on her waist. He had a moment to stare into her eyes before her lips moved and her words flowed into his mind. So...dance with me, then. He grinned at her, nodding and again letting his finger twitch fluidly along her hip. He whispered to her so only she could hear.
"As you wish My Queen..."
The way he said it made it sound like there was more to it. As if his heart swelled just at saying it. And it did. His eyes looked only into her's as he suddenly moved, but it was a graceful flowing motion, unlike the sharp movements of the king and queen's dance, this was an art. This was beautiful and fluid, like water taking form and staying in rhythm to music as a song started up. It was a soft delicate piece that everyone could hear through the rigid silence. Of course there was nothing rigid in this dance. Dax let her body move against his, with his. He spun her out and slid to her side again, caressing her with his hands when he touched her. It was the lightest of movements against her skin, as if he was just a butterfly brushing her gently with his wings when he touched her. His eyes never left hers, almost didn't blink for fear of leaving her gorgeous face for even a second. He twirled her into him and he dipped her, watching her seductively, as if he would give her his heart, but he smiled lightly, as if it was just a part of the dance and he slipped her around him as his arms twined delicately around her waist. He swished her like waves and spun her out and back again into his arms. There was something so sensual about the way he moved her, with the utmost care.

He seemed...almost nervous at first, as his hand went on her hip and almost seemed to stroke her. Kassidy blinked, surprised. Every time Victor touched her, she wanted to cry, to hide, to run... but this simple caress just seemed to spread warmth into her body, and a tiny, more real pinkish blush around her face. She still had the illusion up, to keep her people from seeing the shadow of a bruise that was most undoubtedly forming on her cheek, but the small blush showed through. And then he spoke, and his words sounded odd...carrying an emotion that Kassidy couldn't hope to begin describing. I'm hardly /your/ Queen. She thought silently, and then he moved her, and they began to dance. For the first half of the dance, Kassidy kept stealing glances at Victor, making sure he was watching her and the pixie...then...it ocurred to her that she didn't even need to think when she danced with this man. His slightest touch sent a signal to her, a signal she followed flawlessly.
It was almost as if she knew what he was thinking before he did it, what move he was going to make, how he was going to slide her across the floor. She responded to every slight movement with her own, and she was soon lost in how smooth the dance was. It was a dance she didn't even have to learn the steps to, a soft dance, tender and caring. His eyes never seemed to leave her face, yet she could hardly look at him (almost as if for fear of what she would find. But that's silly...I don't even know him. Did she? Every time he touched her she felt a tickling sensation in her stomach, and her lips wanted to smile. She felt closer to him than she'd felt to her husband...just by the way he danced. Pity he was a pixie. Pity you're married, Kass.
Kassidy's feet felt light, like she was floating through the dance...and then...all too soon, it was over. Everyone else in the room came back to focus, but she hardly payed attention to them (allthough all eyes were on her and the pixie), she was looking at the pixie oddly. "I-- I'm sorry, but do I know you?" she asked softly, a small frown forming itself on her forehead, as her mind tried desperately to remember. The magic was allready fading, but her good mood didn't leave her (So she'd just been almost raped...who cares! She'd just danced the best dance of her life!). Her eyes searched his pink ones, and somehow the hand that she'd been holding was still in hers...she noticed and let go quickly, embarassed.

The Fairy King hadn't said a word to his queen or the little purple pixie. Although a twinge of jealousy pulled at his jaw, as he glanced to them danceing. How...pathetic. Dumb pixie. So much lower then them- why were they here again.
He gave a haughty smirk before turning and chatting with his other loyal subjects. Dumb...pixie.

((XD *nod nod* biiiiOTCH!!!))
The pixie let the queen pause in her twirling. The dance was over and yet she was still looking at him. He felt a rush from her hand still being in his. He smiled at her, stepping away slightly as she snatched her hand back, only just realizing it had lingered in his. He bowed low to her, a graceful sweeping motion. He had been about to back away and probably leave, but he stopped when it looked like she was struggling. She looked like she was hard in thought and he paused, watching her. Could she possibly be remembering him? His eyes glittered with the excitement of possibility. All too soon she spoke, asking if she knew him. He sighed, disappointed that she didn't remember him after all. His imagination and endless fancies on how she would suddenly remember him and leap into his arms faded.
His smile flickered with the sadness of his disappointment, but it was back soon enough as he stepped closer. His hand flashed up, pushing back a piece of hair and tucking it sloooowly and smoothly behind her ear. It might have shocked her, but before she could do as much as stumble back he had backed away, bowing and taking her hand. He laid his lips gently upon her skin, caressing the back of her hand with a polite but sweet kiss. He raised his eyes to her first, straightening slowly and with a sweet but c.ocky smile he whispered for just her ears...
"Maybe in you're dreams my Love..."
He laughed lightly, skipping back and falling apart into the floating and dissipating purple and pink light that he'd done once so long ago when he'd been afraid she'd hurt them. He also figured he had to leave in a hurry and flashy way just so everyone would keep talking about him. His laugh echoed a little behind in the dissolving light. For his safety he'd best leave her alone.

Rorek had stood calmly for the whole bout between the fairie and Shane. It really wasn't his place to interfere, besides, It was Victor's wedding, and he was more than enough to settle things. After everything had quieted down and the Dancing had begun Rorek took a small breathe as he turned to Samantha, His eyes flicked to Neil for a second before flicking back to Sam. "Samantha, now that everything has calmed down, would you care for a dance?" He asked politely as he bowed his head a little.
----------
She actually would help him!?!? He allowed the corner of his mouth to twitch up in a thankful smile as he looked at her, "Really? You would help me? I would be so thankful. It has been months since i was allowed the body. I really don't know how i could repay you for helping me." Korrex stood up straighter and looked around, hiding his eagerness. He then pointed to Rorek. "THere he is, talking to those two. HE said pointing out samantha and Neil.
Oh he was so excited! Victor picked a good one, How would she go about getting him the body?
---------
Izarus had refrained himself from interfering with Shane and Theo on Taylor's request, so he merely stood with the other Vampires and watched from afar. After everything had died down and the dancing had begun he had turned to Taylor, "So would you like to Dance? I am well versed in many steps from waltz to swing." He reached into his jacket and pulled out a navy blue inhaler. "This is to take my strength away so I don't hurt you. Mind you i cant talk while i hold my breath." He chuckled waiting for her answer.

Ashlee shyly smiled, watching Korrex become happy. She felt happy to to this for him, it made her feel good to see his happyness. She looked around to see the man that her new friend pointed out. She shyly nodded giving a glittering smile to her new friend before flutting her light wings and carrying herself lightly over to the man.
He was the same size as her snow friend, almost having the same features. She hesitated before gently walking around the man- she hadn't heard his request to his other friend to dance. She smiled lightly,
"Um exscuse me..."
Her voice was light, she made herself speak louder,
"I.... I want to dance with your brother, Korrex. Do you think he could borrow the body for a little bit... please?"
Yes, she did want to dance with her new friend. She was almost emmbaressed to admit it- but hopefully the brother with the body would accept. Ashlee, a young adult, felt small with all these grown ups, her face flushing a light pink. She hesitanted before glancing back to Korrek with a smile, before returning it back to the brother.
[xDD awww]
Taylor raised an eyebrow at Izarus, turning around from the spot where her brother had fled. Stpuid vampire of a brother... She lightened at the thought of a dance. OOhhh. She nodded, looking him up and down playfully,
"Of course."
She purred, stepping close to him, her hands clasping around his neck as she raised on her tippy toes, a bright grin escaping her lips.

The Queen felt a rush of anger at the pixie as his lips left her hand and he was gone. The NERVE of that man! Oddly enough, she felt strangely disappointed. As if something tragic had just happened to her...then the sensation was gone, and even as she walked back to Victor she found herself wondering why she had been on the dance floor at all... Had she and Victor danced a second dance? How did he move around so quickly? Kassidy was in no position to argue with him, though...he was more powerful then her, and a confrontation in front of all the fairy's... oh how they would hate her if they found out that she'd lied to them! Despise her! Her heart trembled a little and she glanced one last time at the dance floor, where a few purple sparks were still floatng. There's that /colour/ again... Too many mysteries. The Queen didn't like mysteries. Not that she'd remember having any, within the next five minutes. Kassidy walked up to Victor and a smile tugged at her face, as if involuntarily. --- Sam beamed at him, "Well I'm not much of a dancer, but I'd love to." she confessed, a tiny blush stealing across her face. She completely avoided Neil's eyes, kept her eyes on Rorek. He was handsome. And it's just a dance. "You may have to bend down a little, because I'm not quite as tall as you." she teased lightly, laughing as he led her on to the dance floor. ---- Neil kept his eyes on the dance floor during the whole preformance, the King and Queen dancing what seemed to be in his eyes a dance of sadistic power, nothing natural or beautiful. It was the distorted love of possession. And then the pixie was there, and Neil's insides froze. No! No you idiot, you'll attract attention to yourself! This won't help anything! His hands went nervously to his hair and there was a snap of sparks as he touched it. The queen had accepted. The Queen had accepted? What did it mean, what did it mean? Neil shut his eyes and surveyed the scene with his mind this time.
She had seemed dead on the dance floor...No emotion...not even fear. What had happened when they left together? His eyes flew open, the pixie and the queen were dancing together, perfect molds for one another. They floated, and the other fairy's silence told him that they precieved this, too...they noticed a certain something. And it was worrying them. The dance was over. Neil could breath easier, and the pixie disappeared. But he couldn't leave, his three kids were here...running around somewhere. Automatically his eyes scanned for them and found them near the table with food, Janine reaching for the wine, then glancing over and seeing him looking. Her hand backed hastily away. Kids. Rorek had just asked Sam to dance and he leered at them with a sneaky grin. Yeah. You go do that. It's just a dance, Sam. Rorek.
Hah. Kids.
