((XD like okey dokey, y'know? XD))
There was a burst of white glittery light somewhere in the castle. No one would notice of course, the only people who would see the intruders would be the fairies standing right in front of them, but Loki tended to have good timing. Black eyes scanned around. No one around. Good. He grinned, another flash, this time of black light and there was a black cloacked figure next to him. Loki himself wore a white cloack. They had to match in his colors, even if Dax didn't want to be so dramatic as black. But he did look tall and looming, like a shadow. If anyone saw them Loki would do the talking and Dax would just stand there and be intimidating till they shrank away. Not that they would run into anyone. Loki had a tendancy to have good luck to balance out Dax's rotten luck. C'mon now, look at Dax's life and try and tell anyone he didn't have bad luck.
Loki looked up and down the hallways, signaling Dax to follow. They had actually disguised Dax with normal human things. They died his hair black and made him wear blue contacts, which only turned his pink eyes a light sort of purple color. It should be good enough to discourage anyone who saw him. It might take a while after this to wash all the black out of Dax's hair though. Loki didn't tell him the only thing he could find strong enough to cover his purple hair was permanent hair color. They had ALSO had to pull this all together really quickly. Like...within an hour or something. They left the bar right away and thought it through enough to not get killed... hopefully.
"Hey... where are we going anyway?"
They stopped and looked at each other, an altered Dax out from under his black hood and Loki out from under white white one. Dax looked up and down the halls they were in. Loki waited. He didn't know. AWW WELL CRAP F.UCK D.AMN!!! Loki sighed, rolling his eyes.
"You don't know where her ROOMS ARE?!?!"
He whispered a bit loudly, breath hissing at Dax that he was stupid. Dax shrugged.
"Hey! It's not like I've ever been here before okay?!? She didn't exactly invite me home for the summer when we went to school..."
Loki shook his head.
"Dude, you're lucky you got me, I checked out this entire place when we went to yer girlfriend's wedding or whatever. C'mon, I'm pretty sure they're this way. The place was blooming with purple, i could only assume it was someone who didn't know they were in love with you n all..."
Dax grinned, following Loki down the cooridoors and eventually they ended up in front of a room. Big double doors, intricately carved. Looked like the doors a queen would live behind. Dax took a deep breath. She would remember him now. How would it go? What if he was in there? He took a deep breath.
"Dont just stand here! Go in, I'll keep gaurd out here. Go get yer woman lover boi..."
Loki grinned at him and winked, shoving Dax and so he opened the doors and slipped in, grinning at his friend and closing the doors.
((TAKE IT AWAYYYY!!! XD))

The door swung open and the Queen didn't look up, assuming it was Victor. She wasn't even facing the door, in fact. Her hands were holding a tiny glass sculpture of the lily that represented their marriage...she wondered at it's beauty. It had been crafted for her to swear by one of her people, and it glittered with dark light.
Silence behind her and Kassidy felt something odd...like somebody was looking at her. Stupid f.ucking creepy husband. She sighed and turned around, her eyes on the sculpture, "Yes Victor?" she asked demurely, sounding almost like a slave, her voice didn't have the usual iron strength in it. She'd been worn down unbearably in the last three days, as her husband had gottne increasingly brutal in their encounters.
Angry at her for something she hadn't done. She glanced up and froze when she saw it wasn't Victor who was in her room, but...somebody else. Somebody she knew. She let go of the lily and it shattered on the ground as she stared at him. His hair and eyes were changed but it was /him/. She could feel it from where she stood... And yet she was frozen. Frozen in anguish and joy... This was more than pain it was torture. Why was he here? Neil had promised to keep him away!
She let out a little strangled gasp, glad for the illusion that covered the blackish stains on her arms and neck, and face. "Dax." she finally managed, after several moments of her throat not working. She felt lightheaded, and her hand moved to grip the table behind her so she wouldn't faint. It was the first time she'd said his name alloud in 12 years. "What-- what--" she couldn't get the words out, her orange eyes were wide and shocked, "What-- did you do to your hair?" she finally asked weakly, her mind wasn't prepared for any of the bigger questions. This one would have to suffice.

His now soft violet eyes looked her over. God she was beautiful. She was more gorgeous than when her left her. She had grown some, become a woman. She wasn't just a princess anymore, she was really a queen. But when she said 'yes Victor' She sounded so... so... broken. She wasn't the firey hot tempered girl he'd left. She wasn't even the pretending woman he'd seen at the ball. She was meek. She was a goddess that had been thrown to the earth. A butterfly that had been pinned down and drained of color. She wasn't how he remembered and his heart ached for her. He let his eyes run over her long hair. He didn't even need to see her face to know she wasn't smiling. That hard stubborn glint in her eyes was gone. Then she turned and yet, she still didn't look at him. He saw her face. Her BEAUTIFUL Face! And it was timid and sad and fearing what might be coming. It was tired.
Of course she looked worse under her illusion, but he didn't know that yet. His eyes softened and he smiled smally. She finally turned her eyes up to see him and shock painted her face. Did she already recognize him? His hair was black and his eyes purple, but had she instantly known it was him all along? She dropped something and it shattered, leaving a sort of stunned silence between then. He watched her with awe at her beauty. She said his name and he felt like his heart would fight free from his chest and go to her. It tugged him forward. She stuttered, still in opposite awe to him being there, like a dream. Or a nightmare. He couldn't tell. He stepped forward slowly and smiled a little. Then she asked him.
What-- did you do to your hair?
He stood a moment. Hair? What? A hand lifted lightly to touch his head. Oh yeah, it was black now. He was a bit taken aback by how that ws the first thing she said. He grinned.
"Well I thought the normal purple might be a bit noticeable? I hear the king is after me."
He smiled at her, one of those old mischivious smiles he use to give her back in Magikus. Twelve long years ago.

"The...King..." she said slowly, only half listening to him. She was keeping herself in place. Keeping herself from falling on him, from covering him with kisses and tears and from holding him so tightly he'd die. Her heart seemed to be beating a thousand miles per hour and she felt like she couldn't breath. Stay. Calm. It was the iron voice that spoke to her whenever Victor touched her, or hurt her. IT was the voice that kept control over her emotions. But it was too much. The pixie...The pixie was here. Dax. After the strained silence that followed, while they both simply looked at each other, mirroring each others emotions, the words he'd said reached her ears. It put the situation they were in into acute perspective, and Kassidy winced visibly. "The king." she said again, and her word fell like stones to the floor, heavy and foreboding.
She moved away from him wearily, sitting on the chair that was next to the bearou. She looked tiny and fragile, and the clothes she wore only seemed to make her look smaller. As if she was drowning in sparkling garnments. The Queen set her mouth grimly, "You have to go, now." It was breaking her heart to say that. To tell him to leave her. She flinched, and shut her eyes, because she couldn't stand looking at him. It was better to pretend she was talking to an illusion...Maybe...maybe that's what this was... But no. It was that same smile. Even the way he stood was accurate...nobody could have crafted such an illusion...
"He'll kill you." She stated it as if it were a fact, "I don't know how you got in here, but you should--" her voice cut off and her body shuddered, Kassidy's mind screamed at her weakness. No! She couldn't let him get killed! "Go. You should go." she managed to finish the sentence, and then her mouth clamped shut. Her throat tightened painfully and she was glad her eyes were closed, but even if they were his image floated through her head. Smiling at her. Looking at her with that look he got when he was worried about her.
"You must--" her voice shook again, "You must know that I can't-- that if you were to--" Kassidy made use of the curtain of hair that fell down her back and let it sweep down over her face, giving her a shield against him. She dared to open her eyes, partially, it ocurred to her that if he could get in here... Kassidy put up her strongest wards around them, blocking them from all site and sound except for them... that was a safety at least. She gained the courage to continue, through her shield of hair, "If you were to--" her throat closed at the htought of her next words, but she pushed on, "If you were to die...I wouldn't-- I wouldn't be able to live-- I would kill myself before I had to live with the knowledge that you were...dead. That I had caused it-- Please...do it for me, at the very least." The words became slightly easier as she talked for longer, and it ocurred to her that she didn't really want him to go.
She wanted him near her...with her during every second of the day... Even just talking to him...telling him to leave... caused her hairs to stand on end, caused her hands to straing towards him. She tried to breath deeply, but came short. Instead she panted, her chest rising and falling quickly as she tried to control herself and her emotions.

Dax watched her. She muttered about the king, thinking of what might happen to him if the King found out. If they were discovered. His smile faultered till he was just looking at her, that longing in his eyes pulling him to her. But he stayed still. She was here. This wasn’t another dream, this was real, this was now. This was what he had dreamed of almost every night since he’d left her. His eyes ran over her, feeding on her skin, drinking in her presence. She came back to herself, seeming fearful now and deciding on an emotion to use. He felt such compassion for her, for all she would do for her people. He felt a bit of anger at her for it. How could she love something so much to suffer for it. He smiled at her again. He would be a hypocrite then. He left her for her own good, and his. He went away, tried not to love her, he would do anything for her, even if it hurt him. He meant nothing compared to her.
She went and sat down, Dax lowering the hood of his cape and putting a hand to his black hair, rubbing his hand through it. He couldn’t look away from her. She looked away from him though. He walked slowly forward as she started talking. He shouldn’t be here. He should go. All things he’d heard before. Everything he’d heard before. Go, go away. Nothing could possibly hurt him more than the first thing she’d ever said to him. The first thing she’d ever asked him to do. Stop loving her. It was impossible. The moon was more likely to fall into the ocean and be swallowed by a goldfish. Rainbows would fall from the sky and turn into monstrous tie dyed snakes! And the old quote, pigs would fly before he ever stopped loving her. Nothing could stop him from it. Not even death.
”If I was afraid of death do you think I would come? You know I would never leave you alone. Hell couldn’t keep me away…”
He watched her as she said she wouldn’t live if he died. Couldn’t live if she knew he was dead. His heart ached and he felt hope, relief. Something powerful that blossomed in him and made him kneel beside her chair, looking up at her as he took her hand gently in his warm hands. He looked up at her, eyes caressing her face lightly and looking thoughtful, almost in awe.
”God, you’re beautiful. Memory doesn’t do you justice. How could you ever deprive the world of you’re light just over the death of a Pixie? I don’t matter. Only you matter Kassidy. I…”
His eyes shimmered and he kissed her palm, lips brushing her skin as he whispered what he’d waited to say again for twelve years.
”I love you Kassidy…”
He closed his eyes, letting her hand cup his face and feeling so much joy from it. He thought if he died now he would be happier than any person who received death. But of course he couldn’t die yet. He had to save Kassidy from the idiocy she had produced. But ahh, that was the thing about falling in love with an idiot fairy. They did so many stupid things but you couldn’t help but love them…
((XD OMG!!! *sniffles, teary eyes* IT’S SO CUTTTEEEE….*_*))

The way Victor's touch made cold crawl up her back, Dax's touch sent tendrils of warmth along her spine. They seemed to grow and spread when he didn't remove his hand, and Kassidy felt stilled, her panting breaths became long ones but she threw herself into another headway of emotion. If he only knew what's under this /mask/... perhaps he wouldn't call me that. But then he was saying that he didn't matter and Kassidy looked at him fiercely, "No." she said in a low voice, "Don't you ever say that-- Don't say that. You matter-- so much..." Kassidy shut her eyes trying to calm herself, to find a way to convey her feelings. And then he told her he loved her and kissed her hands, and she found herself sliding off the chair with surprising ease. She reached the floor and stood still for a moment-- so near him. Kassidy was...almost afraid to move, watching him wearily-- unsure of what to expect. Slowly her body moved towards him and she felt her arms surround him, her head burrow itself comfortably on his shoulder. It was his smell that made her cry. He smelled just like she remembered, and she found herself shaking in his arms, as she'd cried so many times before in his arms. She was holding him so tightly she couldn't believe he could breath, then again he was holding her back just as tightly. It felt good. It felt real. "I don't deserve you. I've never deserved you. You're so good... you're too good to me. If-- Dax, if you died... You're not... you're not just a pixie. You've never been that-- ever. I'm-- I'm a /queen/. That's /it/. I show off the royal possessions. I'm beautiful. That's it. I could be replaced-- in half a second. But you? I wouldn't find you if I looked to the ends of the earth. I don't-- I don't deserve somebody like you." Even as she said that her hands were cluching his clothes, allthough her mind was telling her to tell Dax to go away, her body was completely against the idea. Holding him suddenly wasn't enough to make up for twelve years of absence, and her lips traveled to his skin, the crest of his neck. His taste was... irresistable. Her lips traveled up to his jaw, down to the tip of his chin, then finally to his lips. If she hadn't been so desperate for affection, for a touch that didn't give her chills, perhaps it would have been sweeter. It wasn't, though. It was a hungry passionate kiss, that made the Queen feel supercharged with energy she hadn't felt since she'd married. The only thing that broke the spell was when his hand happened to run down her arm-- to touch the bruise he didn't know was there. She felt the tiny shock of pain and broke the kiss, her face surprised, and then immediately angry. Not with him, but with herself. "D-dammit!" she cursed, tears filling her eyes again and falling down her cheeks, "No-- I-- I can't-- I'm sorry I can't---" I can't resist you a second time... "Please...just...just go. He'll kill you if he f-finds you." her voice was harsh and panicked. How dare you be so weak, Kassidy! I thought you loved him! Send him /away/! The King will /kill/ him. "Please..." she pleaded, covering her lips and feeling her shoulders hunch in the submissive pose that the King usually inspired. Her whole face was wet with tears and she didn't dare look at him, because she knew she'd give in if she moved even an inch towards him...saw even a fraction of his exposed skin...felt him touch her... Dax felt his chest squeezed. He loved her so much, and even after twelve years his heart ached and swelled like it did all that time ago. She told him never to think of him as nothing. She was replaceable and he wasn’t. There wasn’t another like him in all the world. He shook his head and would have protested if she hadn’t slipped from her chair and fallen into him, crying. He held her, her arms holding him. She seemed afraid to let go, as if holding on to him was keeping her alive. He held her back, her lips finding him and trailing along his neck. They ran along his jaw and up to his lips. That kiss. That kiss! It seemed every emotion in his being was being pushed from him and up to his lips as if to share his e.xtacy with her, to let her feel everything he was feeling, as he felt her own passion build against his as her mouth devoured his.
She didn’t deserve him? She deserved BETTER than him! He was the luckiest pixie in the world to have found such a prize. Such a treasure. Just like so many things through his life, he had stolen her heart. Or so he hoped. Their kiss lasted, each as passionate and wanting as the other. His hand trailed down her arms and… she seemed shocked, jumping back. She looked at him and as if he could feel her pain was stunned. What had he done? Had he hurt her? She told him to go. She couldn’t, couldn’t do this. What was this exactly? He had told Neil he wouldn’t do anything bad. And it had only been a kiss. No, not a kiss. This would forever be remembered as The Kiss. He watched her, sitting back on his feet and watching her. Something was wrong. She was hurt. His violet eyes turned serious. No, it couldn’t be. Could it?
”Kass…Let me see.”
He said it with a sort of commanding finality. Let. Me. See. It held weight, like he was commanding her with a soft caring note. She wasn’t touching him anymore and he noted that. He looked her up and down. Was she wearing a glamour?
”Kassidy… let me see. Drop the illusion…”
He said it softer this time, cajoling, trying to make her understand that he needed to see. He needed to see more than anything.

If Victor hadn't worn her down for the seemingly endless months they'd been married, perhaps Kassidy might have offered some resistance. Perhaps she might have snapped back at him angrily, commanded him to leave her alone... but she was tired. She hesitated for a moment, "No... you don't need to see-- to see anything-- you need to get /out/. Please!" her voice pleaded with him softly, the Queen's eyes wide and afraid for him. Why was he being so stubborn? Couldn't he see he'd be killed. He asked-- no...he told her a second time that he needed to see.
Kassidy turned away from him. "There--there's nothing..." she paused, her insides tearing themselves up, "Fine." she murmured, but instead of removing the full illusion she only removed the part that surrounded her eyes. Now she looked three times as tired, as harrowed and old. "I couldn't...sleep..." she said in responce to the look he gave her, "I havn't...been able to sleep since I found out..." A tiny lie. It had started earlier. But Dax didn't have to see how he treated her-- she didn't want him to feel hurt, or feel that she was weak...
Let him see her as he saw her before. A godess that walked on earth...with nothing but being tired being her disease. "You have to go." she said, sounding like a broken record, "You-- Dax you think this is funny, but it's not! He'll murder you and I can't deal with that! I refuse to deal with that! I need you with me." She shouted at him, and then her hand went to her mouth and she covered it. Oops. Wrong words, "I mean... I mean I need you alive." she said in a more subdued tone, blushing lightly.
Both, really. Kassidy stared at him intensely, her whole body tense and unhappy. Even the distance she was from him seemed incredibly tortorous...now that she'd had a taste of his lips...his skin. She wanted to go to him so badly, and take him and kiss him until she couldn't breath, but she was still holding back. It was killing her, but she was doing it.
[Kass: >:C No u. No nekked...>.> Yet.
XD heehee. Kass won't let him see, unless she gets /careless/...cause she's distracted...and it /happens/ to slip away...*coughhintcough*]

Dax watched as she protested and finally gave in, letting go an illusion. She looked tired, ancient. He felt himself intake air, not loud enough to be a gasp, but his eyes widened and he lifted a hand, as if to reach out for her. He stopped himself. He felt she couldn’t handle touch, she wouldn’t be able to keep her broken mangled will alive if he touched her, and she had to resist him for a little longer.Just a little longer my sweet… She said she couldn’t sleep and he felt as if he’d been hit. HE had done this to her?!?! Him?!?! He straightened, eyes wide and on her in horror. He felt like he should die for doing such a terrible thing to his love. But again he felt there was more and he relaxed some.
”Kassidy… please… I want to see you. I don’t care how you look, I love you, I want to save you, save you form everything. But you have to show me. Show me whats wrong, what has he done to you?!?”
He started softly and ended frustrated and worried for her. He was appauled that anyone could bring themselves to hurt such a lovely creature. How could anyone hurt her? He couldn’t even raise his voice to her! His hand went forward again, touching the place on her arm that had made her pull away. He touched it lightly this time, soft enough to feel like a butterfly brushing her skin.
”I need to know… Why was Neil acting so strange?”
He looked at her dangerously, anger at the thought. Why had Neil acted so strange? Was it this? Had Neil seen her? What had he seen?!

The shock and...and disgust in his eyes made Kassidy recoil away from him, feeling ashamed at herself. He lifted his arm and then hesitated. Don't you even want to touch me anymore, then? she asked him silently, but didn't look up, still. His words comforted her though, allthough his voice rose slightly, and Kassidy winced. It was different from when Victor yelled, though... Victor's voice got smoother, and silkier the angrier he got, and then it would explode out of him... Dax's voice was simply frustrated...and that frustration wasn't even directed at her...but at the King.
His hand grazed her arm and she felt ashamed at herself yet again. "Neil..." she paused. It had been a long time since she'd called that man anything but by 'wandermage'. "Neil is a strange man. He does strange things." her voice shook, and then she closed her eyes, "If...If I show you...promise me you won't go...after him. Promise me." her voice shook with the emotion of defeat and pain. She didn't want him to see her like this...she wanted him to remain placidly ignorant of the dark bruises on her arms and neck and face.
She wondered, in this brief space, what Neil had been acting like. The last time she'd seen him she'd been in a daze. Overwhelmed by /everything/. And yet, as she looked back...he'd been the one to help them all along. Since the beginning he'd been there. "What does Neil know about anything, anyway..." she murmured, more to herself, looking away from Dax, and pulling her arm away from his butterfly touch. It wasn't an accusation, which was odd...it was more of a question.

Dax let his eyes flutter over the spot as she pulled away. Promise. He had to promise not to do anything. Oh God. How bad was this? It was bad enough that he would do something he had to promise not to do? He had to promise not to go after him. Him. Victor. Dax thought it over, the question paining him. His soft purple eyes were hurt that he couldn't do anything. If he said yes he could see, but then he would have to abide by the promise. If he said no he wouldnt see at all and forever be plauged by imaginings on how horrible it was or wasn't. He had to. His eyes turned sharply towards the door, as if trying to ask Loki what to do, or maybe searching for the King who did this and cursing him for it. Whatever it may be. He turned back to Kassidy, face smooth and slightly cold. not to her, but at the thought of how someone could hurt her.
"I have to see this. I promise I will not go after him, but if he comes after me I can't say I will run away and hide. I will kill him Kassidy"
The look in his eyes as he said the last line was another promise. It swore to her on everything he own, on his heart, on his love that he would do it and she could not convince him otherwise. He would kill this monster that did such horrible things to his fairy. He would slay him and PEE ON HIS BODY!!! MWHAHAHA ... Well, he would kill him. His eyes glimmered as he again looked at her arm. His hands reached for her, taking her fingers into his and bringing them to his lips. He kissed them, urging her on and looking back into her eyes with warmth and love that said she would be beautiful no matter what he saw. He was trying to give her strength.

She wasn't sure whether to be relieved or fearful of his words. Kill the king? It didn't seem possible. You won't. she wanted to protest, but she looked away instead. He took her fingers, and again she had to keep herself from throwing herself at him and kissing him until her lips were bruised. With her eyes concentrated on the floor, the illusion she wore permanently around herself slowly wore away. And once it was gone she looked...literally...smaller.
Her eyes were rimmed with dark circles, and her cheek had a shadow of a bruise on it. Her lip was cut and her neck had greenish purple marks down it, from where he'd grabbed her once. Kassidy's arms too wore badges of this honor the King bestowed upon her, purple shadows that blighted her beautiful skin. Even her ribbs (for the illusion of clothes had fallen away as well) had bruises on them, and she was clearly too skinny. Had she tried to starve herself to death? In a way. Food didn't appetize her very much, and she had eaten barely enough to survive. Her hair, though still long, lacked the luster it had carried and her wings twitched feebly.
She looked fragile, beaten...worn down. Her eyes, allthough still as orangey amber as ever, were more hollow. Her mind protested against the illusion being left and tears jumped to her eyes, "I didn't...I didn't want you to see me like this...I don't...want anybody to see me like this." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. It was shaking dangerously, and she felt cold, even though the room was at a regular temperature. Even though Dax was next to her.

Dax watched as she hesitated. He was fearful of what he was going to see and angered by it at the same time. His eyes delved into hers, as she looked at the floor. The illusion wore away and he saw the most horrible thing he could have imagined. Her illusion clothes wore away too and despite how amazingly beautiful she and her body were it bore the marks of abuse. He sat back, looking at her, eyes roving over every bruise, every scrape. His hand took her's and spred them so he could see her fully. Oh God. His eyes watered, tears coming to them. What had he done to her? He couldn't stop himself, he sat up, pulling her to him and giving the most loving delicate kiss on her lips. The softness whispered to her so many pleasnat things as a tear tumbled from his lower lashes and splashed onto her cheek. His hand cuppe dher face as soft as he could hold her before they buried themselve sin her hair. His kiss grew, firey passion burning just beneath his skin as anger and sorrow melded in him. He wanted her, all of her. He needed her, to have her, to hold her, to touch her. She was HIS! And he wouldn't let anyone do this to her!
"Oh Kassidy..."
His eyes opened and looked at her face before he was up in one smooth motion, pulling her gentley up with him. He looked down at her, all the caress he couldn't use on her held in his eyes. He kissed her hands again, holding them up.
"You are a queen to put queens to shame my Love. Keep strong for just a little longer. I wont let him do this to you. His days are numbered."
He pulled her into him again, mouth wanting to crush her iwn but refraining, sweet passion intwined with his lips as he tasted her, just a sweet as honey and richer than he had ever recalled. He pulled away, staring down into her eyes before Loki popped his head in.
'Hey Ro... Oh, sorry..." His eyes dropped to the floor seeing Dax's lady was naked. That was the way with fairies. Not that he disapproved! But this one was Dax's. "Romeo, we should get going, three fairies have walked by the doors and each one was staring at me like I was some assassin till I told them I was a new body gaurd. They seemed to believe me but even my luck can't last..."
Dax nodded, kissing Kassidy's forhead and turning to dash for the door. He stopped so suddenly he almost tripped, turning back and striding to her with his long legs. He dug in his pocket and pulled out something he'd had made. Something special for her to remember him and stay strong untill he could save her. It was in a small purple velvet box. He opened it and inside was a white gold band with the small pink diamond he had stolen, and not only that, but a sparkling purple amnythest was cradled in it. Somehow they had worked it to where the tear drop shaped diamond was round and the circluar purple gem sat snuggley inside of it. Small specks of diamons glittered to either side on the band.
"Dont forget me again... please..."
and he dashed to Loki and the door, giving her one more longing look.
((just in case she wants to say something before he leaves ^_^))

She felt his tears on her cheek and she looked up, but then his lips were on hers and she was kissing him back just as fiercely, feeling her blood pound in her arms. There is not enough time! her mind complained, and her body agreed, as the kiss ended too soon, and he pulled away from her, pulled her up. Dax kissed her hands, and gave her a look. It was odd...if she hadn't been naked she would have said he was undressing her with his eyes. But it was so much more than that. It took her breath away, and made her blush. Victor looked at her like this, but his eyes were iron and frightening. Dax's eyes stirred feelings deep within her that had remained hidden for some time. Her skin turned very pink and she felt a thrill run up her spine.
It was instantly quelled at his words, though, "No-- Dax! You swore-- you promised--- Dax, he'll kill you! Please! Don't-- don't say that!" He answered her with a desperate kiss that Kassidy returned, her hands cluching at his clothes in an almost painful manner. It looked like they were each trying to steal the life from the other. Then he pulled away again, much too soon, and the door opened.
Another pixie poked his head in and told Dax it was time to go and she wanted to crumpe and cry right there. He kissed her forehead and dashed out. She turned but suddenly he was back, pressing a velvet box into her hands. It contained a beautiful ring and she held it so hard that it pressed its shape into her hands, as they shook. "Never ever. I love you, Dax." she murmured, painful tears stinging her eyes. Her head was dizzy as he left and she sat on the bed, the room spinning. Too have him so near yet so far--. Kassidy cried for a long time before she could get back up again, and summon the strength to do another illusion.
