Name: Maelie Larrieux
Gender: Female
Age (approx.): 26
Appearance: I picture Maelie as a strong, yet frail type of woman. She has long, luxurious honeycomb locks. She has mysterious, deep blue eyes always filled with the look of longing. A small nose and pouty lips round out her face. She has creamy white skin with a touch of sun that makes her glow. She is tall, around 5'8, thin body structure, a little busty, not enough to make her topple over like Barbie.
I finally found this photo, after hours of searching. She is exactly how I imagined Maelie, but Parker's Character Ashlee has the same photo...
Past: She wishes she had known about Magikus. Her parents died when she was very little, around 12. Her father taught her how to cook and her mother taught her to bake. After her parents died she lived with her grandmother, until she died two years ago. Her grandmother, Eleen, taught her everything she new about plants. Maelie didn't get a lot of help furthering her powers, one reason why she would have enjoyed Magikus, but she did get a lot of time to spend with plants and nature. She studied plants day in and day out, watching how they go from seed, to sprout, to stalk, to bud, to blossom. She tried to learn to control her energy into helping the plants move faster than normal.
Personality: Maelie can be shy at times but she is a really outgoing person. She loves to make people laugh. She is very strong minded, sometimes stubborn, but that's the kind of attitude you need in a cook. Someone who will take charge and do whatever is necessary. You can normally catch her sitting outside with the plants, just watching. She is the type of girl who hates to bother people with useless things... That's one of the reasons why she has never seen a doctor in her life. She loves all the home remedies her grandmother taught her. Maelie loves everything that has to do with the kitchen. She can make anything you like, anyway you like it. Her favorite things to make are rice krispy treats for the kids around town.
Current Life: She would like to be the Head Chef at the castle is that is okay? If not, then she can be some sort of town herbalist or something.
Pet (if any): None
Other: I guess you could classify her as a sort of Earth Elemental. Plants are her thing. She can make them grow faster than normal, which is really good because she likes to use fresh herbs and vegetables in all her cooking and home remedies.
I hope she gets accepted! I read on the CBox that you guys don't normally accept people who didn't go to Magikus, but you can't have a whole town of people who just went to the school right?
RP Example: As soon as Margot shut the door azure tears spilled from Kalen's emerald green eyes, streaking her cheeks with mascara and salt.
She never slows down, especially when she's painting. She needs to feel movement of any kind. She doesn't know why but she knows that when she's all alone, it feels like it's all falling out. She fears if she cries that first tear, the tears will not stop raining down. So she cries when no one is around, at night, anywhere... as long as no one is around to hear.
She’s alone in this fight with herself, her fears whisper, if you stand, you'll fall down. The only way out is through everything she's running from. She wants to give up, she can't win this fight by herself. So when she's out, she tries to find someone that will love her... for her. She needs that feeling, the feeling that fell from the stars on the ceiling. The feeling that Jupiter gave her.
She wiped her eyes with her arm, smearing the mascara that now drenched her cheeks. Kalen pulled herself up from her seated position on the hard floor and grabbed her palette and brush before standing on the bed once more. She tilted her head back and dipped her brush in yellow. She hadn't know what she was going to paint a second ago, put as she stared at the ceiling it all came flooding back to her. She composed a symphony of stars across the ceiling, portraying a dark blue sky speckled with brilliant yellow hues of luminary stars.
She stole a quick look in the mirror, cleaned off the askew mascara on her cheeks, admired her work for a second, then left the room in a hurry.
