Neil arrived back at the appartments feeling slightly nauseous. He'd been...expecting the encounter...for months ahead of time. When he'd explored the kingdom after the Queen's marriage and found the blind spot with ex-Queen Eleanor, he had known he'd hit upon something...and now it was over. Twelve years from when it happened and it was finally over...sort of. Now...he had to tel Dax that the idiot Queen knew about him...

But didn't want to see him. Stupid fairies and their stupid concept of honor...no cheating. Pfft. Like he couldn't list at least 7 fairy kings in history that had cheated on their wives...and then there was Vicky (as he privately called him in his head), who was the biggest hypocrit in the world. ...Godda.mmit kassidy... When you see a good thing staring you in the face you freak out... stupid woman.

He took a deep breath and walked into him home, was immediately assulted by children, whom he hastily peeled off ('jay bird, could you get them for me?'), and made his way to the back room where Dax and Loki were. Or were Dax was found...Loki was usually off galavanting after women (Neil rather liked him for this, though he said nothing). Dax was there, sitting on the bed doing something or other. Neil didn't really think to check, "Ah-- we've got to go...to a bar. Now. I've umm...got good news and bad news. That I'll uhh...tell you over there. Now." He added the second now as he walked out of the room (assaulted by children again), and back into the cold day.

Was it really over? Was it going to be over?Not everything has to have a happy ending, you f.ucktard. He frowned, feeling his temples pound. But I wanted /this/ one...so badly. F.ucking f.uck... just chill out. You shouldn't get into other people's business so much...

Yeah right. You're the good f.ucking samaritan. It's what you /do/. Neil rolled his eyes and shifted uncomfortably, "DAX, YOU BA.STARD, GET OUT HERE ALLREADY." he shouted amiably, trying to lighten his mood.

<sub>He'd been laying on the bed half asleep but mostly just thinking about his problems. He had had such a good time at the wedding ball thing. He had seen her, he knew she was in trouble, felt something was so wrong, but he had been overcome with the feeling of joy at just seeing her, even if she didn't realize who he was. But what coudl he do? Really now. He sighed, feeling his rib cage expand slightly with the deep inhale. Ahhh. He was relaxed. It was warm in here and cold outside. A rainy sort of day (hope you dont mind that it's raining. ^_^ it's raining here in Cali). Nice day for a bath, but he'd hold off, this was enough. he jumped slightly as Neil came in, saying they needed to go. to a bar. He had news. Good and Bad. That didn't sound very good. He sat up, Neil walking out again. He could hear Jamie dealing with the kids, pulling them off of their dad and taking them away to play a board game or something. What. What coukd it be NOW? What could be this bad news? How could it get any WORSE? He sat a second more, thinking before Neil yalled at him. Dax jumped up, wings flexing in a flap and pushing him from the room. Wow, something must be really up for Neil to yell like that. he seemed out of sorts.

"Yeah, whats up? Where we goin?"

Loki was standing behind him in a second. How the hell did he do that? Loki was gifted at being able to use his magic and have others not sense him. It was crazy how he could sneek up on a person and be standing next to them for a while before they noticed him and jumped out of their skin. Loki spoke up though, letting them know he was there.

"Bar? Can I come?"

Really, he was like a puppy.</sub>

((Loki has to go with Dax when Dax goes to see Kassidy ^_^ Just because, he's gonna be off A) stealing things or B) having sex with someone XD))

((XD replied, finally... no internet at home, can only post on weekdays and I'm risking it going on at school cause they say you can get suspended or w/e for going around the blocks. ^_^` but I'm desprate!!! >_<))

Neil jumped when he heard Loki's voice, he'd been lost in his own mind. "Oh uhhh..." he hesitated, "Fine. Fine. We're goin' to umm Tom's..." he muttered, ambling ahead quickly, his long strides making the other two walk just a bit faster than usual. They got there, and Neil hurridly ordered them drinks, brooding and staring at his fingers until he had his in front of him. Even then he only pushed the glass around moodily. After a few minutes of silence, the black man downed his beer sloppily and rubbed his head.

"Allright. Good news first. Everybody loves good news, right?" Wrong. "Right." he paused again, staring at his cup, "I'm ah...happy to inform you that Kassidy..." he paused, feeling a little lost. He looked up at Dax, "She remembers you. I found the woman who had...put the curse on her... she got rid of it... she... knows who you are... " Automatically he grabbed Dax's arm, so that he could keep hold of him in case he decided to go insane and run out. "I'll uh...let that sink in before I tell you the bad news."

<sub>Dax and Loki looked at each other, feeling the stressed sort of mood Neil was in. What was so wrong? There was that horrible sense of forboding that lingered in Dax's stomach. Something bad was coming, or at leats thats how it seemed from the way Neil was acting, despite the good news something was wrong. They walked quickly, Dax and Loki fluttering to keep up, wings pushing the ahead when their legs refused to stretch as far as Neil's. They were all fairly tall, but Dax just didn't like taking long strides and Loki...well... Loki was just Loki, he didn't like to rush at all. They made it to Tom's and Dax ordered Dr Pepper while Loki ordered a bottle of rum. Mmmm, rummmm... He got a shot glass but Loki stared at the bartender and he flushed, putting down a mug and filling it with the sweetly overpowering liquid. dax looked at Neil, worried for his friend.

He waited patiently as Neil came around and finally started speaking. Good news first. Dax waited, not expecting what Neil said. Kassidy remembered him?! He looked like someone had given him the shock of his life and he straightened but kept sitting, eyes wide with surprise as he thought it over, a broad grin coming over his face. He had to go, he had to go see her, make her run away with him, something! But Neil was holding his arm tightly and he looked at him. Now the bad news. Awww crap, what was the bad news?

"Well this is wonderful! What could possibly be wrong?! C'mon! I have to go see her! She... She REMEMBERS ME!!! "

He sat in happy stunned silence for a moment, smiling at Neil and wiating.

"What could possibly be wrong? Whats the bad news?"</sub>

"I'd say knock on wood only what could possibly go wrong is allready wrong..." He paused, letting go once he was sure the pixie would stay in his seat. "Jesus f.uck stupid Fairy's and their goddamn prejudices..." he muttered under his breath, "Traditions...f.ucking...stupid..." No use puttin' this one off. He sighed, "She uh...doesn't...want to see you. At all." He lifted his beer glass to his lips, only to realize it was empty. Oh hell...

"It's this stupid fairy tradition... adultery is the highest crime... the highest crime. They put the women to death because of adultery... it's technically not supposed to happen... because fairy's don't marry for politics... they marry who they love, and are usually completely devoted to them. To die would be the only remedy...usually, for the feelings adultery would cause in a being... the theory is only the most twisted sad fairy's do it...and...that they are better off dead..." he paused, "It's not... it's not even only that... The King has gotten word of you, he's been looking for you ever since the wedding, and if he finds you he'll order your death on sight."

Neil squeezed his eyes shut, "He'll have put wards around her that only the Queen herself can get around, and she won't be doing that because she'll be afraid of your death-- and of her own weekness..." He smiled a little ruefully, "Yeah. So...in other words...you can't...go to her. Or you'll be killed...or she'll be killed, by her own people."

<sub>Dax watched Neil and wondered what could possibly be horrible right now. Neil rushed on, letting go of his arm. He sat and listened, Neil fretting and moping and Dax getting a lazy grin on his face. He was thinkin somehting, you could tell, his pink eyes glittering. Neil paused and Dax continued to smile. He rolled his eyes, going on to explain.

"When has her not wanting to see me EVER stopped me? She NEVER wants to see me EVER! She never has! But I go every time. And she loves it, despite what she says. Besiiiiides, who said anything about aduuuultryyyy? I'm just going to say helloooo..."

He smiled innocently, shrugging and thinking over his plan. He had to get to the castle, he had to see her! It didn't matter if she didn't wnat him there, he had to be there for her. He always did. He remembered all those loooong years ago when they had gone to Magikus. The government agents had busted in and stolen her away and he had gone in to try and save her. Had she ever really known he'd been there? She hadn't seen him, someone had already freed her, but he was glad and relieved to no end that she had gotten out safely. Okay, it didn't matter if The king had wards around her or anything, he'd slip in with Loki. Loki's magic couldn't be detected, he just wouldn't use any magic. That might be a bit hard. Growing up using you're powers n all, it was hard to just stop all of a sudden. But they would manage. They could slip into her rooms and Loki could make a disguise and wait outside the doors, hopefully not being conspicuous or resisting having sex with any fairies that walked by.

Dax stood, Loki catching his intent and grinning as he stood too, ready for whatever Dax said. Loki was glad he was finally going to help his mate get back to...well... his mate. Matess? Maitress? Whatever. He was all for it. Dax was more in love with this fairy chick than with money or anything he'd ever seen Dax be in love with. What were friends for?</sub>

"Right. Just saying hello..." Neil's eyes glittered dangerously, "Dax--" he began, and then broke off. What was he arguing for anyway? Obviously he couldn't stop him-- and in fact he didn't really /want/ to stop him... The state he'd left Kassidy in worried him, and her face when the illusion had gone had shocked him... Perhaps it was better to let things play out. "Well, I promised Kassidy I wouldn't let you go. So I'll have to stop you if you try." he paused, a sneaky grin stealing across his face.

"Though if you happened to misplace the necklace I gave you so long ago...I wouldn't have any way to find you if you happened to leave... And I'm just so busy. I probably wouldn't notice an absence until tomorrow at midday. I sure hope that if anybody were to leave, they'd be back by then. Otherwise I'd have to go looking for them." he paused again, looking at Dax meaningfully. "Tomorrow, mid-day. Well I've got errands to run. I'm sure you'll be right behind me as I walk out of here." he crowed cheerfully, giving them another grin and parading out of the door, the bounce restored to his lanky walk.
