The teenager closed his eyes, his mind floating. So many thoughts. What was happening to him? The dark haird boy looked down in his lap as his fingers plucked the guitar, his face in deep thought. What was he to do now? Everything was so..confusing. Giving an adgitated sigh the boy pushed his guitar off of himself, and turned to look out the window by his bed. It was starting to get dark. The sun was burning the edges of the world as it released firey looking streaks thought the sky. He gave another sigh and layed down placeing his hands behind his head. So...weird.
The scene yesterday. Had it really happened? He was pretty sure. But he had plenty more time to think about it. Seeing how he still had another week of grounding. Stupid math. A 'D' wasn't that bad--right? Atleast not an 'F'! But anyways. The occurance. He let the whole thing replay in his mind.
It was two days ago. Two days. He'd been jamming out to his guitar-- still in grounding. But that didn't mean he couldn't do stuff in his room. Even if it was kinda borning... Oh yeah... anyways. He'd just finished the last note when the shadows in the courners started to darken. They had been already because it was getting dark outside-- but it was't the sun. It was something else. What? He didn't know yet. But it had been coming fast. He hadn't noticed it till he'd turned on the lights, figuring that he wasn't really ready to go to bed. He'd plopped on the bed humming some random lyrics before he noticed it. The shadows...they were crawling across the carpet. He knew he wasn't on drugs--not today alteast. He'd tried to blink it away before he realised it was real. He was stunned, paralyzed. It was like a shadowy smoke substance that had entered the room. He wanted to cry out for help-- but his throat was closed. Crap... Double crap.
The shadows attacked. Okay maybe not that dramatic- but they came closer closer until he'd tried to run. It caught him. Whatever it was... it was strong. It had gone...gone...inside of him. He was stunned. Something...was..inside him. In his mind. He looked over to the mirror carefullly. His features were dark, his eyes a dark black, his hair black, his skin starting to fade as if shadows were shading it.
He hadn't got a bit of sleep that night. He'd heard growls, hisses, and grumbles thought the night. Altough they weren't from the outside world. They were in his head.
Through the next day he hadn't changed his apperance. And something was in there-- in his head! He'd gone to school saying nothing. People loved his new look. He dreaded it. It wasn't him..it was...this thing!! Maybe he was just imagining things. But he couldn't let himself think that... Remember...the shadows.
He'd finnaly gotten some sleep last night. He hadn't heard any growls or hisses. Nope. Maybe it had gone away. Whatever it was.
--
He doubted it. The boy blinked as he regained thought of reality, drifting away from his flashback. Yeah...maybe the thing went away.
He fell asleep for an hour before regaining conciousness with a gasp. Ugh...oh gosh. He groaned with a headace as he rubbed his temples. His head...it was hurting...it felt like a rock. His eyes grew wide with realization. It...was moving. The thing... it was like a rustle in his mind. Like...like it was wakeing up.
Well that's just dumb. He thought to himself. How could anything be waking up in his mind beside himself-- He heard another groan. The boy hadn't even opened his mouth. Crap--another groan?!
'Mhmmmm.'
... That wasn't him. It wasn't him thinking that. It was that...thing...
'... Thing, eh? I find that as an insult...'
The boy jumped hearing words, his eyes wided in fright. Oh god his mind better be playing tricks on him... But that voice. It wasn't his. It was darker, huskier, scary...what the hell?!
"Who...who are y-you?"
Whispered the boy carefully as he looked around the room, wondering what the hell was going on. The thing hesitated then gave a sigh of realization,
'Oh yeah-- you probably have no clue whats going on. I kinda fell asleep when I got in. Takes alot of energy out to move on your own, yaknow?'
It had spoken more. The boy didn't know what to say. OF COURSE HE HAD NO CLUE!! GAH! He felt suddenly weak. He must be dreaming.
"I'm dreaming. I gotta be."
'Sorry, but no. Just shuddup, lemme get out and explain.'
The voice hissed with slight annoyance. The boy felt a pulling in his chest as he tensed. The shadows were drifting away--- wait---not away. Out of him. It was leaving? No.
The shadowy smoke gathered in the center of the carpet and started to move up, taking shape. The boy's eyes widened as he hadn't even noticed his apperance change back to normal. This thing...it was... forming. It was taking shape as...as...
A man. This man wasn't in a human form..more like a translucent dark shadow. You could start to see the details... Holy cow. The boy backed up against the wall by his bed. No way.
The man was large. Deffinatly over six feet. Deffinatly. He looked sort of shady- like he just got out of death row. He wore street clothes like a white shirt and jeans. It turned around. His arms were folded gently against his chest, his head looking around at the room. Then his sharp, intimidating eyes hit him. The boy was stunned with fear. A ghost?
The shadow man then gave a beaming grin. It caught the boy off guard a little bit. He looked scary...but he was grinning at him. This thing..it wasn't human...it didn't seem much like your average ghost either...Wha--?
'Name's Valerius. I'll be your demon. You'll be my carrier, mkay?'
