[Melodia only! ] Selene was probably one of the richest women in all of Arbet. And one of the best business women as well. That being said, she wasn't always amazingly smart. For example, taking every penny of her earnings in her purse to the shopping court was less than smart. But Selene wanted to shop, and she figured her power would stop any man or woman in their tracks, if they touched her. For that reason she was wearing a strappy dress that was short, bangles everywhere, and her hair up in an odd Marie Antoinette sort of bun. Much more modern, of course. It was all the new fashion. And if it wasn't...Selene was making it be so. She paused for a moment, reajusting her bag and looking in a window curiously. Yellow dresses for sale...but yellow wasn't really her color...Briefly, she wondered if they had anything green in there. I'll just pop in... she said to herself, sliding into the store and flipping through the green items. She chose three green articles, put her purse down by the dressing room door and went to look for the assistant. It didn't ocurr to her how unwise this would be.

Ah, yes. This woman screamed of wealth. It was not like she herself was on the poor side, but still, theivery was her hobby. Her pastime. When she didn't spend time with Asher (which was often these days, he was busy quite often) she was robbing someone. Or buying things with the money she took from other people. And this happened to be one of those buying days.
Ethereal hadn't bought new clothes in as long as she could remember. The ones she had now fit quite well, if not a little on the showy side. Sure, she owned a few other articles of clothing she kept just in case, but she was all about shorts tanks and her long brown cape. It suited her whole outlook quite well.
But then again, even Eth knew the ways of the world when it came to relationships. She could not show up in front of Asher in the same outfit every single time, it was too...predictable. So she had a coinpurse in her pocket. As she entered the store in which she had followed Selene she removed her hood. Her dark hair fell down about her shoulders as her fingers lightly trailed over the soft fabric. Her eyes gazed at the bright, candy-colored fabrics and she almost cringed at their stand-outishness, how they seemed to scream at her from every corner of the room.
For Asher Yates, She commanded herself, for Asher.
It was after looking at a few dark blue dresses (and keeping a close eye on the wealthy woman) that she finally found it. A black dress. It was short, going just above her knees. It was a light, gossamer fabric, with thin straps for the shoulders and a low-cut neckline. A white stitching embroidered the sides and shoulders, giving it a seductive yet innocent look all at once. She proceeded into the fitting room to try it on.
Yes, it worked, it looked excellent for her first time buying clothes in awhile. She hung the item over her arm and redressed, cape and all. In the dress she had felt quite vunerable, and so she stuck her hood up over her head as she was exiting the dressing room.
But little Ethereal the crook couldn't help but notice that Selene had left her purse outside the fitting room. She stood under the florescent white lights, fidgiting with the fabric between her fingers. To steal or not to steal? That was the very, very tough question. And Ethereal, in the end, gave in. She took a few steps forward and peeked into the fitting room, not sure if Selene saw her or not, but quickly snatched the purse up in her hands. And if she was taking the purse, why not throw in her dress for free too? She prepared to become invisible, to fall into the wall with her stolen goods.

The assistant chattily lead Selene to the dressingroom, unlocking it and letting her in, leaving with a sense of longing. Selene smiled to herself, as the door clicked shut and removed the white dress she was wearing, slipping on the first green one. Too low cut, she decided after a moment of contemplation. The dress went on the floor, and the next one was slid on. Better...better, but the wrong color. Something shifted outside and Selene glanced for a second before looking back at the mirror, turning.
It only took a moment longer to process the information. That shuffling had been...her purse. Her PURSE!! Selene gasped and put her hand to the doorknob, turning it the wrong way before finally getting it right and bursting out the door. She looked around wildly, caught sight of a hooded woman and screamed, "STOP THIEF!! GIVE ME MY BAG BACK!" Her voice was shrill with anger and she stormed over, twisted her ankle on her too-high heels and fell with a yelp.
"Get--" she growled angrily to the assistant, who had rushed to help me, "NO! GET THE GIRL! SHE HAS MY BAG!" she roared, pushing herself up and limping to the figure. "Give it BACK! GIVE.IT.BACK."
"Excuse me ma'am, you're injured-- your ankle--" the assistant was crooning. Selene turned around wildly, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and glared with thundering blue eyes, "Get. My. Purse." she hissed with perfumed breaf that made the man giddy. "Yes ma'am." he said, turning and going towards the woman.

Ethereal clutched the bag with one hand, the dress in the other. In the midst of the commotion she had slipped her own coinpurse into her pocket. With everything accounted for, there wasn't much reason to stick around, was there? "See you," She grinned, backing up until it seemed as though she was going to fall into a rack of clothes. But instead her amber eyes sort of caught in the light as her body--and the objects she was holding--vanished into thin-air, those burning eyes the last visible thing about her.
[And what now, my dear? Or was this not the reply you were lookin for? =P]
