She was very chatty, Garath had noticed this but she once again just proved the observation. Except she wasn't one of those nonstop chatters who just never shut their trap. She was one of those conversation holders. She seemed to like this old little place where she learned to dance. Lots of old people? Garath had to admit he was slightly put off by the fact that she spent her day with old people but hell, who knows some old people were acually kind of...fun? Hm, not the right word, but it was close. He shook his head with a small frown as her focus came upon transportation. Uh, no. He'd walked here. He kept moving fluidly along with her not noticeing anything odd in paticuar. Only until she stopped saying something before the silence cut her words off. He slowed looking at her and she suddently spoke agian, his face confused. Did she say echo of the dead? Maybe it was his memory but he never remembered anything about her having that kind of power. The dead... or whatever itwas. He stared at her fixidly quickly blinking away as she started to move in longer more smoother strides.
"I-uh-sure."
He mummbled with slight confusion his tail slightly rigid in the odd experience.
[uhhhhh you post the place or...what?]

[Margerethe's Kareoke Cafe]
Alright. So halfway to the cafe Yuli had given up on walking and decided it'd be best to just take the ground transportation (haha). She'd gotten them there in good time, and Yuli glanced left again, just to make sure the ghost flickers hadn't followed her. Nothing. Good. Whatever Garath might expect, it was sure to be...something else. Yuli had been to young clubs with Janine, raves where people wore wild hair and painted faces and looked half drunk and half high, moving their sweaty bodies to a nothing music. To her-- the air had seemed claustrophobic. She'd told Mr. Nancy those very words there when he offered to go dancing and he had laughed himself silly at the idea that they should enter one of those (he said it like he'd just swallowed something incredibly slimey).
So they'd come here. She called it the MKC and she'd continued coming here with anybody she thought wouldn't hate her for it. David didn't mind it because he liked to dance-- and that was really the only time she felt that he loved her. Well...it didn't really matter. Not him. Not now. (What, you're going to throw away all of that just for this tall boy? Shame, Yuli. Shame.) Yuli shook the thoughts away and pulled open the smooth wooden doors. They were greeted by a blast of jazz music that seemed too loud, but Yuli's ears adjusted well, and once you got used to it the music was at a nice level.
She waved at a few people here and there, pointing them out to Garath, "That's Hannah Baker. She lost both her sons to the elemental war-- they were teleporters. Her husband died last year. She's such a dear." she whispered quickly, as the elderly lady who didn't look more than fifty strutted over to them. "This isn't David! Who is this young man, Yuli? He seems like quite a catch."
"You say that about all the boys, Hannah. This is Garath." The woman cackled, "That's just because I want to dance with them. What say you, Garath? Give an old lady a turn on the dance floor later on?"
"Aye, later, or you'll never let him go!" Shouted a woman that had been sitting at her table. Hannah excused herself and went to go gossip with her friend. Yuli turned and smiled, "So how 'bout it? A dance? For...old times sake? You did save that girls life that one time. And then I never saw you again." She tried to keep out the hint of regret from her voice but it crept in anyway.

Garath was sure he could have walked the distance (he'd walked even more in the army) but Yuli had a diffrent oppinion after halfway. So she'd transported them there--which was really cool by the way. They'd reatched the danceing joint and Garath didn't miss how thoughtful her face looked. She seemed lost in a train of thoughts until she pulled the door open. Garath instantly twitched. The music was a tad loud. Okay, a tad was a bit of an understatement. Weren't old people suppose to not like loud music? Hm, maybe he'd learn something new today.
Yuli looked the youngest out of all of them, the rest seemed up in their fifties and even higher. Of course Yuli seemed the popular one of the large group as many waved to her. She accordingly waved back. Garath folded his arms carefully, his ears adjusting to the music slowly but surely. One happy lady caught their attention and started to walk briskly over. Yuli leaned up to him and spoke in quick whispers. Hannah was her name. She had two sons who died in the war. Ah, shame. Garath looked at the woman who seemed pretty happy for a widow with no sons. Hm, this place was pretty lively. Garath smiled his fangs sparkling as the woman asked who he was. She unexpedily wanted to dance with him and he hesitated but Hannahs friend caught right on. As she saved him from a dance he smiled friendly as the woman walked away. Yuli then of course took the opportunity for herself and asked for a dance. He hesitated then sighed defeated with a playful smile,
"I think saving her life is a bit extreme but... 'course I'll dance with you. Just don't laugh, heh, alright?"
Of course Yuli had to remember the time that he met her at that one place after. It was a breif meeting but meaningful. But now was an acual date-no- hang out. He glanced around at the people on the dance floor feeling slightly out of place because of course-- he could not dance.

"You're right," Yuli agreed immediately, "You didn't save her life, you saved Rorr's. And I should be thanking you even more for that. He would have lit that boy on fire. Rorr has a temper." She paused and pulled him onto the dancefloor, where the other couples gave them their space. "Okay, put your hand on my-- no, the other one-- on my waste, and this one holds my right hand and yeah-- okay, now we step forwad, to the right, to the right, back, to the left. Just count in your head." Garath stumbled along fabulously and Yuli resisted the urge to grin evily. She let him get a hang of the beat, ignoring the numerous times he stepped on her toes.
"So have I found the one thing you're not immediately good at or what?" she asked him with a bubbly giggle once the song was over and they found and empty table. "So how's the rest of your family? Geo, and Laura?" She was a little curious about this-- especially since Janine absolutely refused ot discuss /anything/ to do with Geo, and Yuli wasn't impervious to gossip. She always liked ot know what was going on. "Is it weird that I'm asking? haha-- I don't know. Did you know I had a crush on you when I was little?" she asked suddenly, one bright blue eye sparkling delightedly, and the other clouded over.

"Heh, yep you caught me."
Garath grinned off the humiliating situation he had just been in. He had told her he wasn't the best of dancers. Of course the old people hadn't bothered with them too much or even laughed at his silly attempt to have any rhythm. He smiled slyly at her, watching her bubble over in a dimmed excitement. She sure was cute when she was happy. He made a mental note to come here more often with her-- even if it ment humiliating himself again.
"Ah, Geo and Laura? I suppose they're good. Haven't really seen them lately... Last time we met up was a couple months ago and they seemed to be doing well for themselves. Course they're still living in the area so it's possible to see them every now and then."
He mused on comforted about his family. They really should get together sometime. He hadn't seen them in awhile or since the last holiday. He looked at her eyes finding the obvious diffrence between the sparkling one and the hazy one. Of course it wasn't ugly or anything it was just diffrent. Like a dog with two diffrent colored eyes. Except Yuli deffinatly wasn't a dog and one eye was shiny and the other eye wasn't. Garath gave a slyer smile as she mentioned if that was weird and also a little about her tiny crush on him back in the day. Heh.
"Heh, no, it's fine...and I maybe have had one on you too. Hm, those days were really something..."
He reflected his feelings slightly back to her as he kept his eyes on hers for a few lasting moments before looking away at the croud. He felt a small pang of regret that he hadn't asked Yuli out but maybe it was better now that they were older. Of course she did have a boyfriend...

Yuli shrugged, "I guess they were. I've always thought puberty sucked, though. Way too much unsteadyness and insecurity." A young waitress came by and smiled at Yuli politely, "Can I get you anything?" she asked in an almost frosty voice which surprised the girl-- they usually got on well. "Oh uh-- A coke..." she managed to mumble, suddenly feeling guilty for no reason. Yeah so those insecure days havn't left me /completely/. "Alright. And for you?" the waitress positively sparkled at Garath, took his order, and bounced off. Yuli gaped at her, "Woahh! That lady had the hots for you!" she exclaimed when the girl was gone.
You shouldn't be surprised, Yuli. He's a hunk! "Go you! Maybe you should ask her to dance!" Nooooo, why did you /say/ that?! ...haha.... that girl will /so/ get soar feet if he does ask her. mwahaha. Yuli couldn't keep the smirk off her face so she covered it with one hand until she managed to stop being so amused. By that time the waitress was back with their drinks, dipping low to give Garath's his, and barely glancing at Yuli. Yuli bit her lip until she was gone. "Soooo? You gonna go ask her? You toooold me the dating scene was going terribly!!!" pleaaaase say no. pleeeaaase.
Janine would so totally slap you for sending mixed signals right now.
Too bad she's not here haha.

Garath ordered himself a coke as well giving the pretty little waitress a sly grin. What was the harm in that? He wasn't acually dating anybody so he could flirt around. However inwardly he could feel it wasn't right. No, not with Yuli around. He liked her much more then the little watiress. Yuli sure was diffrent then when he last met her. Yes those little puperty days were full of insecurity and shyness. But now Yuli was just a little social butterfly. As the little watiress came by it was obvious she was trying to get his attention. He gave a little nod at her but kept his eyes on Yuli. As the girl walked away (obviously trying to make her hips sway) Garth smirked when Yuli blurted out. Garath sighed and laughed lightly,
"Haha, ask her to dance? Yuli, I would probably most deffinatly crush her feet. I'm suprized I haven't sent you to the hospital yet."
He took a sip and gave a shrug,
"Anyways, I have a feeling the 'dating scene' might not be so terrible any more."
He gave her a curious look before turning away to look at the dance floor. Yep, now with Yuli around...things might not be so bad.

"That...was not a yes or a noooo Garaaaath. Are you going to go ask her?!" she said with a leering grin and a giggle. "Besides, if girls hit on you like that all the time I don't see why you thought the dating scene was so bad in the first place!" she told him with a grand simpering smile. "Maybe you're just terribly clumsy. That's probably right. Terribly clumsy at dancing and around women."
She paused, for effect, "Although you seem fine around meee." she drawled, curling a finger around her hair and then snorting, "Okay, I can't keep that up. Sorry. I'm a natural flirt. I'll stop if it bothers you-- or that is-- I'm a natural flirt after I learned to let myself be. I was such a hilarious individual when I was young. Do you think so?"

"Weren't we all?"
He snorted giving a evil smirk. Teenagers were all hilarious. Them and their raving antics and hormones. He wasn't even sure how him and his brothers survived being a teenager. Well... Geo hadn't exactly made it out okay and normal...but he was perfectly fine...right? Gah, whatever. He took a sip of his coke and looked out to the croud before responding to her earlier comments. First he gave a mini shrug then he sighed aloud before continuing.
"Well, I dunno. I guess I'm not really myself around girls I don't know. But I know you so I guess I feel comfortable... or whatever."
He rolled his eyes back to her with a amused smirk his finger tracing the iced glass that he was drinking. His eyes staring into hers. He gave an amused smile and looked away again.
"But your right, I'm clumsy with many things."
[errr sorry didn't know what to do... ]
